Do u think pounding at front will snal clip off so whole pinion come out...was wondering

I do not think so. I would try to remove the race first.

Yes i try to get race out..im waiting on new bearing and seal..i do notice pinion shat not level..plus wheels dont turn when i turn pinion shaft..u think there another issue...ty

I don’t think so. The bearing is what centers the shaft. Once you get the new one on and the shaft back in place, I think you will be fine.

For what it's worth. As a retired machinist a lot of the high speed slab mills that we used on horizontal boring mills were left hand helix right hand cut. That is somewhat like the pinion gear looks like as compared to a slab mill. The left hand helix with the right hand cut forced the spindle and or quill back into the head stock on a horizontal boring mill. This was a favored cutter design to eliminate chatter and help size control when having extended reach cuts. I think that this how the statement "But tap on the end of the shaft driving it into the housing" was developed using the left hand helix / right hand cut synopsis. Of course this would only work if the assembly is not damaged as shown. Again for what it's worth.

I don’t think so. The bearing is what centers the shaft. Once you get the new one on and the shaft back in place, I think you will be fine.

I got bearing off but appears pinion is off ring gear...any idea how get it back on....lol im a pain im 80 but do my best ty ty
