I see he's got Starchoice mobile so he can watch TV as he's driving, cheaper than cell data rates :)

Satellite TV can barely hold a signal while mounted stationary... Probably not going to watch mobile!! :p

Its bad rep at least...
Well that photo is credible, at least. There's a Gerber Road sign in the background and a major regional powerline, that identify the location. Pepsi Cola's regional bottling plant is at Gerber Rd and Reese Rd.

50 years ago when I was a union Carpenter I worked building Pepsi's plant there, specifically the roof structure. i still have occasional nightmares remembering walking on naked glue-lam beams 30 ft above the ground, waiting for a huge forklift to lift up the next roof panel section that we secured to the glue-lams. A few years of that, and I had earned enough to go back to college.

Of course.

Have you never "popped a wheelie"?

Not much of one but the only pic I have:
Hotdog_2007_1.jpg
I've always wondered at some of the bobtail box trucks with a lot of box behind the rear axle being able to wheelie if they were loaded right.

But since we're showing off wheelies, I had to:

Another crane accident.

And a comment on the link above:
"This accident did not happen in Cedeño; in fact, in Venezuela there is no important locality with that name. This accident occurred at the Tocoma hydroelectric plant project. Specifically in the city of Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar state. Indeed, it was the year 2012."

Bruce
Key words "during a government project".

I was admiring how 2 axles were pulling that thing. Then 2 axles were not enough to stop it. Then saw there was a pusher too. Can't help wonder if the pusher was still pushing when the puller was braking?

VENEZUELA probably also had something to do with cause.
Ah - you've been there too? :D
(Two years there in the 1960's teaching automechanics when Venezuela was a functioning democracy. It's sad to see what Venezuela is today).

In Venezuela in the era of Chavez (when this happened), it's likely that everyone on the site was a political appointee, no relevant expertise, with the assumed project manager having little control over anyone. Recipe for disaster. Look at that truck waiting to come up the hill, blocking the path of the downhill haul. Total idiocy.

Per the comments to the vid, that heavy-haul contractor is world class but it seems that the downhill slope was covered with gravel like marbles, that turned the trailer into a roller skate. I don't see why the contract hauler didn't refuse to move until that steep slope was paved, for some traction. Or else use a couple of D-11 bulldozers as anchors behind the trailer instead of that useless light truck.

All the comments to the video are worth reading. Several posters have relevant experience with similar hauling.

As always, human error.

He might have made it if it was his first pumping of the day and he drove fast 😂😂. That truck must be al least 35,000 lbs

The last time I had my tank pumped they guy said he just topped out. I could tell as he lugged up the hill that he wasn't kidding. Heavy.
