You are over your head.
I am asking the same question Scotty. We were all having a great discussion and then I come home and find out the whole thing has been shut down. What was said? Does anybody know? What happened? When I left this morning, the discussion seemed to be on education and economics. Thoughtful subjects, worth some discussion, and a long way from politics. Isn't there some better way to redirect threads other than shutting the whole thing down?

I was working today and missed it. But Mossroad seems an unlikely source, for a couple of reasons.I think you guys would have to ask Mossroad specifically to know for sure.
The goal is to offload all discussion, expect tractors, to other newly created forums...This is a bit of grey area for most people.
While I can see posts specifically about the current president's or the previous president's policies becoming a flame war of little positive value and distracting to the intent of this community, discussing availability and pricing is as much about government policies as anything.
- Government policy affects inflation which directly impacts the cost of goods whether a new tractor or a loaf of bread.
- Then there is the issue of plant closures due to lockdowns and related labor issues which has a direct impact on the availability and numbers of tractors for sale or pretty much any consumer item.
- Then there is the issue of finding people with the correct skills and talents to support the production of our tractors or pretty much anything for sale to the general public
- Lastly are the government policies that support or suppress trade affecting tractors or their components whether made in the USA or overseas.
- There are a lot of other examples as well but, these touch on some major points of contention with the availability and costs of our favorite tractors and related equipment.
Again, discussion of any of these topics is overtly political to some and not to others. Where does this go from grey to white or black?
You need to read his post at the end of that thread. I would have assumed you would have done that before commenting.I was working today and missed it. But Mossroad seems an unlikely source, for a couple of reasons.
One is I that I don't recall him being involved in that thread - certanly not recently.
And secondly, just picking up a discussion and throwing the whole thing out the window is a rude and petulant act - and that's just not his style.
We can't help but speculate, but maybe we should not do so with names attached.

If you format your posts to say they/them instead of he/she it takes away the personal attacks.
Fooking rookies.
Fooking RookieWhen were you appointed the forum mom?
Snitches abound on this website and always have...Define "political"?
I've saw you post things that I considered political, but you probably didn't.
For that reason I'm not in favor of the "you hurt my feelings" response by reporting.

That seems like a less dramatic reaction. Good idea.scootr, thanks for posting this thread. I just logged on and saw the thread has been shut down. I apparently didn't see what was said and this happened while I was away today. I have reached out to Mahammad asking to get the comments removed and the thread reopened. I ask all of you if you see a member posting something political on that thread in the future to please report the member to the moderators or send me a personal message and I will do it myself.
I bet it gets fixed, there are solutions short of the death penalty. Nice to see a fellow 773 userCouple people jumped in - including a 20 year member! Seen him do this before. Anyway off it went down the drain... you would think a 20 yr TBN member would know better.
