Good morning!!!!

Friday night in Chico, where I do my weekly shopping, seven people were shot, and one seventeen year old woman died. Police are still looking for the killer(s).

How come the states with the strictest gun laws also have the most shootings? Maybe it's because law abiding citizens obey the laws and tolerate their limited access to firearms. Criminals disregard the laws and take advantage of a largely unarmed public. Couple that with recent trends like disarming the police, decriminalizing criminal behavior, and failing to incarcerate violent criminals, and you end up where we are now. There are little or no consequences to criminal behavior.

Also keep in mind that statistics can be manipulated to prove almost any point. So take any statistic that seems sensationalized with a very large grain of salt, because it probably is.

Mass shootings do not seem to follow your comments as they don't discriminate by state or locations or prior records

I was 15 when I got my first rifle, Lee-Enfield .303. I was also unmercifully bullied in school from age 13 through 17. NEVER did I ever think about taking my rifle and using it on other people.

I don't have a problem with the gangs shooting up each other, but why do they have to involve innocent people?

Mental illness might be part of it, but it is a very small part. I think the biggest problem is the lack of capital punishment. It doesn't matter which country I live in, Canada is just as bad as the U.S., just on a smaller scale.

Too damp and cold out for the tin work today, maybe tomorrow.

well all's well that ends well
turns out Buckingham Meeting's caretaker, the Meeting that owns this school, was not on the email loop about me leaving tools until later, he came along
after everyone had left apparently, saw the tools, gathered them up and put them inside school where I could not see them.
I'll get them tomorrow. (y)(y)

back from foodshopping on a lovely day. Got myself a small roast to put in crock pot later this week.
Almost put in on when I got home then realized I'm going to a friend's tonight for dinner.

Frits, lot of folks without licenses and insurance, take off no matter what damage they cause.
Maybe even existing warrants out.

headed out to pick some more lettuce, inspect the radishes, who's going to be first??
YAY!!!!!! HAPPY ENDING!!!!!!!!!!

Putting a patch on the problem will not solve it Drew. The family and faith must become a part of our Country again as it was when most of us were growing up
Life has been devalued, respect for others is diminished.

For those with bad backs and other problems that limit their ability to maintain yards. This tool may help. I got one awhile back. It helps with not needing to bend over to pull weeds.

Dang i— now you post this? And here I just went and bought a mini excavator….

😂🤣😂

So I added another year to my life today. Still feel like I am younger except limitation remind me to act my age. And why do policemen look so young today??

Totally agree. All we hear about is quick fixes, little to no acknowledgement that loss of our family values is the root. So many things advocated today are done so by separating from those root principles we grew up with. Media sure doesn’t help.

Drew, glad tools were located.

I left a pop up awning for scouts to use at an event, they said they returned it to the scout house when they were done. It was never seen again by me. Remember, a scout is honest……
They may have returned it, and someone else related to scouting took it .

The largest threat to life today is abortion. Until they “fix” that, I don’t want to hear about “gun control” that threatens the innocent. Take it to another thread.

Worship went well, new projector cable worked flawlessly like they should.
Usual lunch place, but small crowd.

Mike Morgan got his cabin installed in WV, nice video.

It is a touchy subject for sure. Maybe someone would post shooting history by state. Heard that there are 45000 killed by guns a year

Touchy for sure. Guns themselves haven’t killed any more people this year than last year or 50 years ago, but we sure have many more people willing to kill people using whatever they choose. Read something recently where Great Britain is confiscating knives for same reason.
We need to address the problem - the person choosing and using the weapon. Likely we wont as there are no socially acceptable means of dealing with the people that need help, usually because those most in the know refuse to admit there is a problem. Somewhat understandable, but I think I’d rather be known as the parent (person) who recognized a problem rather than the parent of the person who just committed mass violence and I didn’t act.

Facts are not gun control. Facts are facts

At least I can say that I did my part to help with abortions by taking in 9 adopted children
