60F and clear @ 21:45, heading down to around 47F for the low in the overnight.
Made a little forward progress today.
Got front yard mowed:
Woman came out towards the end of that and started weeding around the east peach tree. She got that all done:
But wasn't entirely happy with it ... for some reason which I couldn't pry out of of Her ...
While She was working on that I ran down to Eddie's real quick for some mealworms. Got one of the feeders from the basement after I got back, dusted some worms with calcium, and went out and got it put up and loaded it with 20 mealworms, relatively close to the occupied bluebird nest box:
Just before I borrowed the Cub to go do that She was done on the peach tree ... so we collected up Her tools and equipment and brought them up to the house.
After I finished with putting up the bluebird feeder I dropped the dump cart at the house and went over to the barn and grabbed the Chapin tow-behind spreader and brought it over to the house and dropped it there.
Then I hooked up the dump cart to the Cub and loaded up a rake and the Stihl blower and went up to the compost pile and cleaned off the Cub.
Came in the house once that was done. Woman suggest baked beans and cold chicken sandwiches for dinner ... which was fine with me ...
After dinner I told Her that I was planning on heading down to Menards to pick up the order and asked if She wanted to come along and She said
"Sure, might as well ..."
Made the run down there and got loaded up fairly quickly with no issues except that they were completely out of one item: the pelletized lime.
Guy went back inside after we loaded up, said he was going to check when it might be in. Came back and said about three weeks.
So while he was in checking on it, I checked on the Menards app, I got a message saying they were completely out of it: no stores had any in stock ...
That seemed kind of odd ...
I just checked here after getting home with a web browser on the desktop and both the Kent and Cuyahoga Falls (closest to me) show "in stock".
Weird.
At any rate, it might be a sign that the rear brakes on the Sprinter will getting done tomorrow ... rather than liming the yard.
Probably a good thing ...
Some pictures of the dogwoods here, which are now in bloom:
Hope everyone had a good Wednesday ...
