Anyone have scissor rafters? Concerned on the amount of insulation I can get in there. And then, . . NO ventilation at all? Old school mindset of mine thinks that there needs an attic and vents.
If you use R panels over purlins for your metal roof, then you will have plenty of air flow in your attic with a ridge vent, no matter how much insulation you blow into your attic.

What type of metal are you going to use for your roof?

28 gauge exposed fastener.

Thanks again Gentlemen.
Sigh, I wonder how many times I have edited my plans so far.
Great suggestion on the 10' tall door. I will put one in the middle. 10' width I think I'll stick with.

Dirt work has started.
Can't determine if it's anxiety or excitement.
No scissor trusses here, I went timber frame with a vaulted ceiling, 6/12 pitch. I have 6" of foam in the ceiling/roof, which is plenty. With garage doors you will get plenty of ventilation.

28 gauge exposed fastener.
Is it an R panel design? I'm assuming it is because you said "exposed fastener" 28 gauge is thinner then what I use here.

Are you putting it on purlins or is it going over sheathing?

What spacing are you using for your trusses?

Brother in law and I built him a nice shed last year. 6/12 scissor trusses. Put chutes in with R38 craft faced batts and sheetrock. OSB with asphalt shingles. 2x4 walls with R13 Kraft faced batts and sheetrock. 10 foot sidewalls and 8 foot R11 insulated door with wall mounted opener. Ridge vent with vented soffits. He heated it this winter in northern WI to 45 degrees with Mr heater propane ceiling mounted heater. Used about 300 gallons and the snow never melted off the roof. Breathed perfectly and made the center height about 12ft 6inches.

Definitely put in a ridge vent. If you have a ceiling, provide inlet. If you have soffits, vents can go there. I don't have soffits, so I put wall vents just above ceiling in the end walls.

This;
36" Premium Pro-Rib® Burnished Slate Steel Panel

1/2" OSB sheathing
2' o/c trusses.

Dirt work is getting finished this weekend, weather permitting, 40x40 + 40x16 driveway. If I can go that big with the building, Super. If not, it's just dirt.

If you could afford it, I would consider radiant floor heat.
