RS, are you living on a dug well? Have you ever thought of drilling one?

Nope … its a drilled well.

IIRC, it’s around 180’ deep.

Had more homes built in the immediate area after we built back around 1970, so some additional pressure on the water table/usage.

Stay cool.

Do you have a fair sized storage tank?

Consider filling your water buffalo from your gutters?

People often go wrong by not using enough pressure. If you’re not making big chips, sharpen the bit or push harder. The bit needs the fresh metal to keep it cool and sharp. Otherwise it’s like a boy scout spinning a stick to try and start a fire.

Good Afternoon Popgadget,
Yes very true, and without enough pressure you could actually work harden the piece that your drilling and burn out your drill. Then you have problems you dont want ! Depending on what your drilling, some cutting oil or coolant will prolong your drill life !

Starting to gather up tools for the wire fencing. Reusing the old wire fencing and did work a bit on straightening out some kinks. Found some of the tools but may need a fence stapler so ordered one since I do not want to test my shoulder hammering staples.

Checked on the smoke bombs left for the groundhogs and may get some more from the feed store next time in that area. Fortunately have just enough fuses left for the bombs.

Passed by an old run down building up the road.

You won’t regret it. I got the Milwaukee M18 stapler and it was definitely worth it, even for the less than 700 feet that I put up. And it will make future projects seem less formidable.

Very seriously considering ordering one of those sharpening jigs for mower blades. Would love to have an All American ... but hard to part with double the money compared to a clone.
I have the All American and it it is easy to use. Don't know about the clones as they were not available when I bought mine. Also recommend the magnetic balancer and run out checker makes for smooth running with perfect balancing

Do you have a fair sized storage tank?

I'd say it's fair-sized ... maybe 30 or 40 gallons ?

Definitely not RNG-sized though ... ;)

Consider filling your water buffalo from your gutters?

Yeah, we have talked about it.

Currently, that would have to be over at the barn ... since the house has no gutters at the moment.

Might be worth checking into what a used 275 or 330 gallon IBC tote costs ...

Just looked on Craig's List ... 275 gallon @ $75 each - used once, material they contained was considered "non-toxic", can provide paperwork.

A couple of those would provide a good amount for summer watering.

And is certainly a lot cheaper than a new well pump ... ;)

Still doesn't entirely resolve my situation though: Woman can be washing dishing and cleaning, start a load of wash, and then flush the toilet ... after having just taken a shower ...

Craftsman Mo Jack delivered, assembled, and tested:

Fit and finish seem reasonably good, seems pretty stout ... (y)

Got 2 gallons of juiced mixed up for the sprayer, may go try doing that as wind seems to have slacked off.

Like the adjustable width. My mower lift from TSC is fixed, and a little narrow for the ZT front, but I added a washer between the bolt to be able to squeeze the tire in. I need to buy longer bolts and put a couple more space in.
