What disk do you have? I've been thinking about buying one when I pay off my batwing. I have 70 HP and my gates are all 12 feet, so I'm thinking about a 10 foot pull behind type disk. Now I'm trying to decide if an offset disk is worth the extra money, and if I have enough power to pull and offset disk, or if I even want an offset disk.

I have a 9' Industria America offset disc and a 12 bush hog brand leveling disc, go ahead and get an offset disc, it will save you from having to make lots of passes over a field with a lighter leveling disc, the Industrius America is built in Mexico but it is a great disc at a substantial savings over the competition, mine is a pull type that I bought brand new for about 3k verses about 10k for an Athens. Athens is a great disc but I couldn't justify spending that much more on one, I have a thread on here somewhere from several years ago when I bought it, they are a carbon copy of the older model John Deere offset disc, I imagine if you type in Industrias America in the search on here you can check it out, I would do it but I don't know how to do all that.

Today's work no till drill some rye and oats in a bahia field, we will see how it pans out, I would have liked to have waited until a frost so the rye and oats wouldn't have to compete with the established bahia but I couldn't wait any longer.

No I bought it last year, there aren't many rental options for farm equipment other than tractors around here, our county ag extension agency doesn't even have one and they will let you know real quick that they don't do soil sample analysis anymore either, not real sure what they do anymore. Out of curiosity what do they charge for a week's rental?

They charge by the acre. Can’t remember the rate. I only dis one field and it was very large, so I had my buddy do it with a 1/2 million dollar Fendt seeder.

Thank you. That's one of the ones I've had my eye on. Price has doubled since you bought yours, but that's not a big surprise.
