On the ZT wanted to use impact and torque stick for the blade screws but could not raise it high enough for clearance.
The blocking of the blades would work at times but slip at other times on the spindle
Putting a wrench on the pulleys and using torque wrench would work. The center with the gearbox used a large screw driver on the drive shaft to block it.
Found a setting on the Milwaukee impact that is close to required torque and is using that now. Much faster

With mower dismounted, carefully placing pipe wrench on the gear box shaft works well. Like you said, just not enough space to grab anything.

Ken, your back porch looks beautiful. Thanks.

A day to remember. Those who gave all for this country since it's inception, until now. They have also saved a high number of other countries. I'm thankful for their patriotism and ultimate sacrifice.

My kids like to watch Saving Private Ryan. I always get teary eyed at the end.

I also have been receiving delivery delays from Amazon. About 1/3 of my orders are delayed. I don’t have prime, wonder if that makes a difference?

Not here. Biggest problem seems to be leaving the warehouse. Most often actual delivery is OK once shipped, but usually languishes in warehouse a week or more. Somewhat understandable if a 3rd party but not if a warehouse item listed as in stock.

So I was looking behind the dryer, for something that may have fallen behind there.....this set off a chain of events.
  1. I noticed the exhaust vent right angle sheet metal duct, had a seam where hot air was blowing in the house.
  2. Pulled out dryer, put it back together, but could not get the expandable aluminum duct tube to collapse.
  3. So I had to pull out the washer to get behind the dryer.
  4. I had used zip ties, to hold the washer's drain tube to the wall drain. Cut the ties. Pulled out the washer.
  5. It was filthy with lint. Would not pass Don and Karen's inspection. swept and started cleaning, but wifey wanted to get back there and do a better job.
  6. We stash cardboard boxes (flattened) between the fridge and washer. Those all had to come out and get thrown away.
  7. The broom and dustpan were filthy, so had to take out and wash off.
  8. I have one of those "grabber" tools, that you squeeze the handle and it pinches, well I couldn't find it. Sent son on a mission to find it, because he uses it too. Was going to use it to reach behind dryer to try and straighten the duct, but too small of opening.
  9. While trying to snake my way behind the washing machine, I inadvertently loosened the hot water supply hose and it started spraying. It was only finger tight. I can only guess the gasket ring had collapsed over the years. Got some pliers out and it tightened up nicely. This pair of water supply hoses is a super duty pair I bought some time ago. They are much heavier duty than standard. They compare to hydraulic hoses almost.
  10. Finally got behind dryer and straightened duct, so it could be pushed back in place.
  11. Wife finished cleaning all the dust.
Tips to the wise, keep an eye on your washer's water supply hoses, and check the tightness of the connections.....also, don't drop something behind the dryer unless you have an hour to spare.

To remove the blades on my Z-turn,

That is the reason why I bought a CC to begin with. At 9 grand it might have been over priced, but what price do you put on safety/life? I have had numerous other ride on mowers over the past 30 years I have been here and always had to either jack them up or lift them with the FEL on the tractor (which by the way I found not the safest idea).
