Saw this video from TYM about a new dealership in Ft. Worth. Sounds like maybe they are going to encourage dealership groups.

I approve unless it become huge groups like the JD stores around here.

I think his point was that it doesn't really apply to the story. TYM is a Korean company and the dealership group is currently 2 stores, not some big corporate entity.

Tym is really breaking into the American market. They have a plant in Georgia where they assemble a lot of tractors. I think they see an opportunity to undercut big green and orange and grow market share.

Disagree, Yanmar is doing the same thing. I just learned about a new Yanmar dealer in Marion Ohio. 15 minutes from my house. They have been selling lawn equipment for years there, and they recently started selling Yanmar tractors. They are a sister company to the big one in Mount Vernon.

I think that's a good strategy. I can buy parts and have my tractor maintained in Marion Ohio which is 15 minutes from me. Anything major could go to Mount Vernon where they have a really good tech.

I spoke to the sales guy and they're going to be offering servicing of the Yanmar equipment.

Just because they don't have a dealer Network near you doesn't mean they don't have it and they aren't growing. I don't have a TYM dealer near me, I guess they don't care about dealer presence.

I can't wait till their dealer Network is such that they can tell JD to build their own damn engine

I hope they do that same thing. The fact that they had not one dealer in my state, was what kept me from buying from them.

I can foresee am deepening partnership with Yanmar and TYM.

It wouldn't shock me if in 5 years or so, many, if not most of their dealers carried both.

I had a similar problem with Yanmar. When I was buying, I had 3 TYM dealers in 80 mile radius. No Yanmar. I think there may be one now.

This dealer is a joke or TYM quality is just so bad. I tested a few TYM tractors on their lot and every tractor had some issues. Sales initially gave me a quote way higher than similar Kubota tractors, and wouldnt stop badmouthing every other brand...

I stopped in there last summer on a Saturday around noon. Only found 2 mechanics in the shop and no salesman. I do like Yanmar. Don't know anything about TYM. This dealership was well stocked with all kinds of inventory, but I'm not the type to beg them to sell me something. United Ag & Turf (JD) is only a couple of miles from my house, and they are always nice, friendly and eager to help. The mechanic I talked to said it was a former European car dealership (which I knew) and the owners weren't making any money, so they decided to turn it into a tractor dealership. That said, I do hope this dealership makes it.
