Even if your vehicle combination doesn't fit between the curbs?Rotaries are great...
They are lying when they say you never have to stop at rotaries (in the video). Most of the rotaries around here are one lane and if there is a car (or a whole bunch of cars) in the rotary, you have to stop and wait for them to clear, just like an intersection (unless you want to take a chance on getting hit).
I am happy for the people that like them, because they probably aren't going to stop building them anytime soon....

Haven't seen one like that yet.The tight ones are left flat in the middle on purpose to allow semi trailers to use them easily although I’ve never seen anything needing to do that around here.
Agree that some of the newer ones are a bit on the small side, mostly in residential areas where large vehicles or trailers other than utility trailers aren't commonly driven. As kozal01 noted, most of these have a flat inner ring to (mostly) accommodate that.Even if your vehicle combination doesn't fit between the curbs?
So, today I ended up in a busy rotary with another pickup towing a 24’ish ft boat on a tandem axle trailer. He took up two lanes going around, and everyone just kinda naturally slid aside to make room for him. Really wasn’t as big an issue as one might imagine.Yesterday, I passed going the opposite direction of a 3500 long bed crew cab pulling a 30+ foot triple axle boat trailer, on a road that has a circle every 2-3 miles. Wished I had seen him do the rotary, but since these are all 2-3 lanes, I’m guessing he just hogged two lanes in going around.
