Anyone know of a good source for a nice knob for hydraulic lever....mainly for raising the bucket up and down. I think bucket dump will be left as is. Thanks

Little update on tractor......took it to a shop in city where I work. Heard good stuff about the guy and never having met him before, I got ahold of him and explained. I took it to him and he said he would be able to get to it in about a week. The next day, he gets ahold of me and told me what's going on. I told him at the shop that since I have a line on all the parts I could need on this tractor, I could order what was needed and he was good with that. He gave me a rundown of parts needed. Turns out, engine was in fact seized as well as clutch assembly all rusted together and stuck. Ordered all parts. Now that is service!!!!

Just make sure that the tire diameters match the gear ratios, or you will generate other issues (4WD/transmission). I personally would stick to the trend front and rear.

Please stick with the original smooth turfs. You don't need the transmission problems that come from mismatched front and rear tire diameters.

And remember that all old Yanmars - just like 99% of the new compact tractors on the market today - are part time 4wd. You can put it in 4wd to get past a bad spot and then take it out again. DO NOT drive around in 4wd and especially not with a load in the loader. There is no center differential in these tractors. They rely on tire size to match the front to rear transmission internal ratio.

If you absolutely have to have more bite to get out of a snow drift or ice , ask the mechanic to cut down a set of lightweight automotive SUV diamond chains to fit your tires. You can run light weight chains on those turfs year round.

Keep the radiator clean, it's a thermosiphon cooling system....no water pump. Use 50/50 ethylene glycol water mix for antifreeze.

BTW, if you cannot find the original type of tire, get one that matches the same rolling diameter or close as you can. You can find the "loaded rolling diameter" in the tire mfg. tech specs. Tractor tires are spec'd differently from car tires.

My non-Yanmar tractor has had that Trac-Chief tire for going on 17 years, and it has taken a lot of grief over the years.

Kinda upset that there aren't any American made tires that will work....all I can find is these Chi-com made tires

These are Org. Bridgestone that I relined and new tubes. A new Nylon tire insert with new tubes. Covers the Sidewalls also. I'll never wear them out! Done it in 2016. From Gempler Super cheap!! Org front also. The lugs are still huge. Just put a couple tach Hrs on it, Chk. with Fredricks as many new tires they use?

If tractor data dot com is correct you likely have 16 inch rims in the rear and 12 inch rims in the front (rim diameter).
For lawn and yard purposes there is no "need" for a so called tractor tire, you can find numerous car/pickup tires that would fit and fill the need. As long as the OD's or loaded radius is correct your tractor will not have any idea what type of tire you have shod it with. This site has many useful tire charts and calculators.

It was not good in there. Even a mouse nest in there. How it could have done that, I don't know. But, at least engine is unstuck now too.

I'd say your tractor is looking good in the clutch housing area. About as expected. I don't see any damage, just a need for some new clutch parts. That's par for an old tractor that has been sitting. Is the mechanic game to try to start it i[?

Those front tires ln your photo look to be the original front turf tires. They were very quality, and the smooth tread protects the drivetrain when you are moving with 4wd engaged. In fact those are the same tires we had on our YM165d to do the dirtwork building two houses and a barn. Give them a try.

WHen new, the Yanmar YM165d came standard with ag tread. The turf tire option was about a thousand dollar adder. You can't swap between turf and ag tires withot also swapping the wheels.

BTW, generally it's the front tires that tear up a lawn. Those you have are the best for lawns.

I later changed to diamond pattern chains for a better ride. But even the simple ones worked.
