1986 Shibaura (FORD) 2110 Voltage Regulator ?

I'm looking for a direct fit VR for my 1986 Ford (Shibaura) 2110 4x4 Diesel. Search engines have been usless, trying to sell me everything that DOES NOT FIT! Ebaymotors and Amazon show nothing that will fit. (already returned one)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK, is this a 4 terminal connector or the 6? And the old mechanical VRs are nearly hard to even find as the modern solid state types are now the main offerings.
Yanmar, Mitsubishi, Satoh, Iseki, Hinomoto, Kubota, Shibaura basically use the same Datsun VRs of that era.

I find it odd that I can't even find a part number.
My PDF manual is for about 7 tractors from 1984 til 1987. No part numbers listed.

This is the old type, 4 or 6 spade terminals

This is the solid state

Most of them are made by Hitachi, Denso, or Mitsubishi Electronics.

Mine has FOUR blades, and opposing plug. I really don't want to cut the original wiring and guess which wire goes to what.

If anyone has a parts list/manual, would you share the original part number, please?

According to Messick's this fits 86 Ford 2110 and 15 other models, including my 86 Ford 1310

Are you sure it's 86 model - they were produced from 83 to 87 according to tractordata.com

Maybe check the serial No. and give their parts dept. a phone call.

PS. You called it Shibaura (Ford) - was it originally sold as Ford or?

Ford made three separate era's of the 2110. (dates of manufacture determine parts)
Mine IS a 1986, verified by the serial number.
The problem is A.I. has copied all the WRONG part numbers and advertise them as the "correct part" for my tractor. THEY ARE INCORRECT.
Everything on the web has been corrupted, so I guess I am searching for someone who has the actual manual in their possession to find the OEM part number.

Morning Lens12, I just got a a Manual from ebay. But, if you have a 4-blade (plug) regulator that mounts on the cross-bar behind the Tachometer I may get a regulator from you.
The 6-blade plug will not work!
(sent two back to ebay already)

In the photo above, the white 6-blade connector is what they send out. Just below (same photo) is the voltage regulator which came on the tractor, and is a 4-blade.

Fredricks has the jumper harness to go from 6-balde to 4-blade. I wonder if Len can get that too.

There are two types with the 4-blade connector, with or without internal didoes.

All of these typically fit all of the know Japan made machines from that era. And many Mazda, Nissan, Datsun, Toyoda, etc too.
