So, I wasn't sure if I even wanted to post; I've been noticing my Ck2610 acts like it's starved for fuel when ever it gets to half tank or so; on slopes. I am sure fuel gauge is right, as it takes about 4-5 gal to refill. it's not a big deal, but kinda annoying. Yes I have replaced fuel filter. I do use just reg 5 gal cans, and I have no doubt they haven't always been perfectly clean. Is this just a live with it thing, or should I try to chase down a cinked hose, or something?

Maybe check a parts breakdown to see if it has a pickup tube that could be too short. I am not familiar with the fuel tank on your machine, just throwing out an idea.

Where is the fuel tank in relation to the fuel pump or lift pump on your tractor?

If lifting fuel from top of the tank then would look at a possible down tube issue. If drawing from bottom of tank would then possibly look at is loft pump getting weak and unable to lift fuel?

Looks like I need to check the lines between 1 (tank) and 7 (fuel feed pump) and possibly between 7 and 2 (fuel filter).

Is the bleed bolt shut on the filter? (#8)

In looking at that schematic, I can't tell how you open/close the bleed hose (#9) to bleed the filter housing. After that, it seems the sequence should be bleed @ #8 to clear line to the injection pump and at the individual injectors once the pump is getting clean fuel. if the "bleeding hose" (#9) isn't submerged in the tank or closed with a valve, maybe it's letting air in? or dropping pressure/flow to the injection pump?

Could air really stay in the system that long, and then affect the machine when it gets to half tank? Anytime I've ever dealt with air in a diesel fuel system, once it would run, it completely purged any remaining air.

My thinking was A; it's just having trouble making it to pick up on a slope, and it's a live with it thing
or B; at half tank, it lakes the 'head pressure' to make it past a restriction.

If your (mechanical?) pump (before the filter) is strong and getting good fuel flow, yes, once purged, the system should stay purged since you are pushing a solid column of (uncompressible) liquid. If you reintroduce air back into the system, (short or faulty pickup/unsealed or cracked hose/bad fitting/etc.), you are back in the same boat of needing to bleed the lines again, since you are compressing air bubbles at the injector pump instead of triggering injector release. The fact that you don't have problems until 1/2 tank indicates that something is re-introducing air. if your pick-up is at the bottom of the tank (1/8?) like the diagram shows, then the only thing I see that could be re-introducing air is the bleed line (#9) if there is no way to seal it once the filter is bled. Two other possibilities (but it should occur more often than just 1/2 tank) are an air leak at the feed pump or an old gasket stuck on filter housing (double gasketed). Are all the bolts tight and the gasket good on the fuel pump cover?
