/ 17 Hours 4075r, It started making an odd sound. I needed to move 2000lb pallets of pellets and could not pick them up.

Yes I get what you are saying, and thanks for the reply. But 185 pounds is not enough to lower my draft arms, guess I need to eat moreJumping up and down isn’t the word I’d use, just push down with you foot a little, it doesn’t take much.
Well that's really impressive, at 65 years old jumping up and down on the draft arms. That's some real engineering John deere
Never had to do that on the Case 970, Ford 8N, 3000, the Rhino 554, or the British Leyland 344.I can’t swear to it but I think I’ve had to use my feet to stomp down the 3 point arms before if nothing is hooked up.
2000 pallets? Your main heat source must be expensive then.We use a pellet stove for supplemental heat.

I may be wrong but think he was just trying to make a joke because of the pallet pellet wording.?I read where we wanted to unload a pallet that weighs 2000 pounds which may be a bold ambition for the tractor without throwing off a few bags first. I don’t think he plans on unloading 2000 pallets. He should probably get a dedicated forklift if he is.

When I replied the title and the wording in his first post said “2K pallets of pellets”, I took that as 2000 pallets of pellets, but I’m guessing it was editedI may be wrong but think he was just trying to make a joke because of the pallet pellet wording.?
I'm unsure how two mechanics and a salesman at the first dealership kept saying it worked perfectly and would not listen. It was so apparently weak on any lift.Pretty bad luck with this one for sure! Then to have 2 of you guys with stories of others... pretty bad for Deere. Corporate should ok some replacement loaners for the dealership.
Of all the tractors before it, I love that it shifts perfectly; the steering is also the best. However, my faith in the dealership is greatly diminished because they ignored how weak the loader is. It's hard to fathom why they could see the problem with the loader. After the second dealer grabbed the 4044m/400e, lifted the same pallet at idle, and curled it, they understood my 440r was lifting more like a 300e.I have lifted some logs about 24"x 20 feet long with no problem, no idea what they weigh using pallet forks and grapple. It has never failed to pick up anything. I know just how you feel about not wanting to keep it. I tried to get the dealer to extend the bumper to bumper warranty 2 years, after all of the things that were wrong with it. While the salesman agreed, nothing came of it. With John Deere track record lately I will keep it at least another year before trading it off. Hope they get yours figured out .
I would have thought the same thing a few years ago with Deere. This is what I found this morning. A new hydraulic leak on top of the transmission. It looks like the tee is leaking. It just never ends with this tractor.Sorry about your luck. Certainly not what I'd expect from Deere.
