Some scammer was posting stuff in Russian on a bunch of different threads, including yours. Looks like the Moderators deleted it
The Russians and Chinese have been busy lately.

My wife has Several gardens, We don't need any more, but she continually bugging me to build a combination root cellar/bomb shelter.

Not something I am into doing given the amount of ledge at Breezy Ridge Farm.
How about digging a bit, build, then cover?

I was thinking getting a load of railroad ties and build a small buried "Log cabin" with a double layer of ties on the roof covered with dirt/rocks.
But I'm just not into the bomb shelter thing. Wife is the real prepper. Lots of food, bug out plans, etc.

I won't show her this. I want to play more and travel now that I am 70.
I hurt my back again today only lifting 60 lb. max rocks to make fire rings round 3 large stumps that I will burn rather than torture my excavator. We have not had a good rain in 2 months, so I cant burn right now. Supposed to rain end of week.
Still have a few things to do to prep for winter. Camper and excavator are put to bed. Cleaned up property and spread 15 tons of cow poop in a 4 to 6" thick layer in her garden.
Next year I have to replace a few things in the house. It seems new me, but is near 20 years old.

What to do on a cold rainy day?

Got an used Stihl MS180C that needed clean up and repair. Chain tensioner adjuster on these tiny Little Stihls seems overly complicated and a gimmick to lure in homeowner types. Looks Fragile? It has lots of compression and just needed TLC, cleaning and a new Bar & Chain, now well well.
Had a MS200 that blew a rod. Like the engineering on the MS200 better than the MS180. I hear Stihl MS261 Pro Saw is very well made. I should have bought that first or a Husky XT and cried just once or twice.

Put a new carb on the Husky Rancher, Bar and chain and it is all set for next year.
This is my 4th Husky, the first was a Husky 50, that lasted over 20 years, then two Husky 350s, each lasted 4-5 years. Junk. Then this Rancher that must be close to 15 years old. Good saw but clunky.

Then I made a little shelf for the wife. Must have been really bored.

Looking for another used Kubota RTV. We have a 2005 900. I hear the cabs rust badly on the 1100C's. Any experience? Let an 2018 RTV X900 go on auction Bid on Iron Planet at $6,100. Looked like might have seen some flooding. I did not want to get into a bidding war on an unseen item. Might have been a good machine, though.

re Cry once - I just think about all the lattes and avocado toast I don't buy (we actually rarely go out and prefer to cook, saves money too) and can more easily justify the better equipment

that way there's a lot less crying (grumbling/cussing and cursing) later

I came across this photo of my 2018 Buick TourX (a German Opel) Circa March 3, 2020, just after Biden regime took office from Trump. Administration.
Gas was almost Free.
I won't be doing much stump burning or dirt moving this season, Had first snow on Thanksgiving. We expect 5-10 inches depending on the temperature
Stepson is getting another new to him RTV.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
