Love the colors. Sick of “you can have any color, as long as it’s black” from the trailer manufacturers.

Just helped my son with painting his first home.

$20 bucks???? Try like $50 bucks a gallon for anything better than white water in a can.

I forgot about slipper springs. I like them. I hope you have many miles trying to remember it is back there. (tracks well) I probably missed it - didn't see EZ grease axles. Glad to see you have brakes on both axles - makes it legal and Very important. Very nice trailer. Looks like it runs low - are those 4" drop axles? Very nice. My wife would have probably ordered PINK color for $600 just to see my reaction.

The axles do have the EZ-Lube option, and they are Dexters. They are straight axles. It's actually a pretty tall trailer for a car hauler.

Dexter has (or at least used to) their own variant of the EZ Lube hub. They have some stupid name for it that slips my mind right now, but yeah... very similar in concept to EZ Lube.

I have them on one of my trailers, and they work well. Pump new grease in until you see all of the old nasty grease come out, wipe up any mess, and pop the dust cap back into its place.

They're not ideal for boat trailers regularly dunked at the boat ramp, bearing buddies still win there, but they're much better than other options for almost anything else. Most importantly, they won't dump grease into your drum brakes, as bearing buddies and many other options tend to do.

Sad day for me... I got a dose of adult life that I didn't want. Before the trailer came in, I learned that in order to use this trailer how I intended I would have to become an official motor carrier with all legalities that are included. CDL, DOT, Log Books, etc... Luckily I am not the one that had to learn that lesson the hard way. But one of my best friends did... Long story short, DOT is really checking hot-shot drivers looking for un-documented or non-English speakers. The info we were given when we started doing this little side hustle did not hold up to the scrutiny of the DOT. Turns out in order to haul a single car for a dealership -across state lines - you need all the same things a commercial 18 wheeler carrier does. In order to be compliant, it would cost me way more than I could make doing it on the side. I ended up cancelling the trailer and lost my deposit. Loosing the deposit was cheaper than getting caught running non-compliant. I do still want the trailer but I couldn't justify the cost for my personal use. I could use a way smaller and less expensive trailer for my personal stuff.

Maybe the dealership can authorize a ‘test drive’ if you return it to another dealership??

Once transporting things for profit, yes you have entered the world of different rules and regulations.

In my case I'm perfectly legal at a 39,000b. CGVW, even in other states, with a regular license since I'm only transporting my own things and not making any money on it.

You have to be able to prove ownership to bypass motor carrier rules

There are probably several things you can do to bypass rules if you try hard enough. I like to do the right thing though, so I'm not even going to try it. I have found that things generally go better for you if you do your best to do the right thing.
