    Actually, they used the clamshell holster if I remember correctly. The release was activated by pushing a button reached through the trigger guard.

    I'd get the weight off the tires, put a heavy dose of sea foam in the fuel tank. Possibly invest in a cover even if indoors, and dryer sheets in the interior floor in several spots.

    I'd check the flywheel Key. It's making spark, but as you said, timing could be off. Should just have to remove shroud and flywheel nut & washer. I agree compression sounds low. Also, check the low oil pressure switch first, shouldnt be it since you have fire, but.....

    There was a local VFD close by that had an annual dinner with muskrat and greens, gizzard soup, and fried chicken livers. It was normally well attended.
