Can the hydraulic system get air locked after a fluid change

I agree. This has gotten to the point where I'm way over my ability . Think I'll be shopping for another tractor. Thanks for all your help. Thanks , Len
Not sure you need another tractor.
If it is a pump or even a clutch valve, that’s cheaper than a new tractor
If you have a place to bring it to, I’d try that first.
We give out loaners if the tractor is going to be out of service for a while. Perhaps a nearby dealer might do the same for you.

I'm looking at a LS mt 225e. Anyone have an opinion. Seems to be pretty good bang for the buck.

Yes
My opinion is that if getting another tractor, buy it from a dealer that’s closest to you.
Don’t care what the brand is.

Just my opinion; this is the main reason I don't buy hydrostatic drive tractors, with my ZTR mower I had no choice.

Clutches burn out all the time. I guess we should just use shovels and hope the handle doesn’t break. Then you’d just have to use your hands. HST transmissions are pretty durable and don’t go around breaking all the time. And I seriously doubt the OPs transmissions is actually “broken”. It’s probably just a filter or suction hose issue.

Before we give up on this: When you spotted the leak at the suction tube, did you replace the entire tube or just cut the crack out?
The reason l ask is because the rest of that tube could be porous if you did not change out the entire thing. Another simple thing to try:
Wondering if this I a fuel problem.
The fuel line that goes to your filter l would like you to take off and let it hang. You should get a good fuel flow out the tube. If you don’t, get your blow gun out and blow up into that line. This will dislodge any crud that may be accumulated at a pencil screen that may be in your tank.
My brand has these and when this happens, the tractor just dogs out and barely moves. At times, even shutting the tractor down.
These are simple things you can try before you give up and send this to a dealer.

This has to be something simple. I'm annoyed that we haven't found it.
Wish you were local...do you have an old experienced diesel mechanic locally you can bribe to come and put an hour into it?
