Tires look brand new, but are 11 years old. Keep or discard?

NEVER let auto/truck tires stay on you vehicle past 7 (5 recommended) years. I bought a used RV several years back. All 6 tires looked brand new. Driving it on the way home, had the front left tire blow out at 65 mph. Talk about pucker factor! Tire people told me how they decay within 5-7 years. It's the crap they put in tires now. Airplane tires last for a couple decades so why can't vehicle tires??? Oh, btw, the RV was 25,000 lbs, 40', and jumped lanes SO FAST and I couldn't control it. My reflexes are well above average as is strength, but it was no contest. Don't know how the guy in the left lane didn't get pushed off into an 8 foot deep median ditch. 4-lane highway.
Oh, and the RV was stored inside a building so it was not just UV damage, which is the cause of most tire deterioration.

Whose life? Theirs or yours? And we are really talking about living and dying due to bad tires.

These tire photos are good, but would someone please post a photo showing where to find the year manufactured info and if it's a code please decode it.
I went and looked at my various tires and - aside from the tire size - all I could find was "made in usa". No mention of when! No mention of when. Thanks.
It's stamped on the tire itself. The date code is 4 digits. 2 for the week, and 2 for the year of manufacture. All tires sold in the US have them. On older tires the date code might be worn through, so if the lire "looks new" but you can't read the date code, leave it: it's already rotted.

I guess the tire man you spoke to knows more than Michelin? Their tire recommendation starts at 6 and ends at 10 given the conditions the tires are kept in. Your statement gives the impression that they are good until they reach 10, which could possibly happen, but not in Florida!

I will NEVER buy another Michelin tire. 3 times in 10 years, they failed to honor their tire warranties, and I keep the purchase receipts for the age of the unit. Besides, there are better tires for half the Michelin prices...

I don't remember ever buying a Michelin tire...however, my Mom bought a new SUV in late 2011 with them on it. She went to the dealership in 2019 to get her oil changed and they said She should replace her tires because they were showing signs of surface cracking. The car had less than 12k miles on it and Mom called Michelin and they told Her to take it to a particular tire shop to get checked. They replaced all five tires at no cost. Michelin paid the bill...
Maybe they are getting better, maybe not.

Probably because aircraft tires are manufactured differently with higher quality materials.

They’re all like that. I had a zipper sidewall failure on a practically new Goodyear “Grizz” Ag tire and they gave me the runaround for a few months until I gave up.
New tire was $1,200.

A good friend bought an RV up in VA just a little bigger than yours, 43 with a tag axle. He didn't want to spend the time and money to buy new tires for it until he got it home. I talked him into at least buying the two new front tires and keeping the speed coming home down around 65 instead of running with traffic. He did, had no problem, but did change out the rest of them as soon as he got home. The coach is a 2016 model with very few miles on it. (and it is NICE)

I had problems with the sidewalls on Michelin tires cracking, so I quit buying hem. The tread would still be good, but sidewalls shot.

They’re probably just manufactured for strength and not road “gripping” like vehicle tires. The new rubber compounds that are designed to grip wet roads do that job well, but they become brittle over time.
