Neat way to hide a key.

Same here - we have keys or codes to the neighbor's houses and they ours. We don't lock our outbuildings or equipment - just don't leave the keys in the cars anymore. Still trying to figure out how those keys work FuddyDuddy on the other side of the lock?

Neat way to hide a key.

Good idea - I have lost most of the keys to garage and barn access doors - this would keep them in one place. I do have a question - why are the keys on the inside of the building? From the picture, it appears the locking nub you turn is on this side of the door, and the key slot is on the...

Are we OK with how bright headlights are getting?

We have LED auto headlights in the 2018 Tundra that also has a leveling knob for changing the height for a load etc. When I run with "auto high beams" (back roads) the sensors are pretty fast to dim - less than a second, and sensitivity - lights on a driveway will dim them too. The only...

    Kubota buy

Probably was a lot of mowing use around trees with low branches, so they took it off. Likely a fixed ROPS which would catch a lot of tree limbs. I keep my ROPS on the Ferris ZT folded for that reason, and we are on level ground.

JWR - one would certainly think he knows this setup - with 24 years of experience with this tractor - and he is an early TBN member March 2001, but hasn't been too active in the last few years. I agree it's bent out of shape - maybe hitting a tree, who knows.

    Kubota buy

Yes this is a good deal as mentioned if they have books/records of maintenance and the Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) is required and Kubota does still sell them - but if the owner doesn't have it take a few $100 off the price. The price is right, and if you were to trade "as is" you won't...

Yes I agree with this assessment - you can see the wear pattern inside the left bracket. Also, just measure the connecting point on the tractor—that will tell you the L>R dimensions you need to hook up.

    Kubota buy

Condition and maintenance is more important than hours, but the hours are on the high side. Trade or purchase price depends on condition and records. (and pictures) Are you buying or selling? Also, why are you asking if turf tires and 4WD can push snow? (yes it can and will) Post some...

    Backpack sprayer/fogger?

To get the tops or tips of the trees or high shrubs, you need to create a shower effect with the fogger "pulsing" of the engine or stand further back and let it fall - it's not easy in windy conditions - best to do early AM and no wind. If you have an orchard - do it from a truck or wagon bed...

    Backpack sprayer/fogger?

The point of the pump and the 30* angle is that once you get the tip of the nozzle higher than the tank and fluid it can't push the fluid to the nozzle (not enough pressure build up). That's why with the smaller nozzle create back pressure, thus pushing more air into the tank. Sorta have to...

    Kubota L3400DT

The DT in Kubota stands for Dual Traction - means 4WD and the L3400DT has Hi/Lo so 8 speeds forward and two reverse. Regarding the clutch, at 258 hours it should be fine for a lot more hours. DigMaster DM200 Excv.

With a 4" dipper stick width, you are locked into bigger more $$$ attachments. But you could get a standard 90MM quick hitch for $150, cut the sides off, weld up a 4" wide version which will take the standard 90mm attachments. I measured the stick width at the bucket pin last night on my...

John - you say "should be" 105MM or 4.13" - is that a measurement you took or assumption? When I look at the bucket it "could" be 3.5" - can't really tell from the picture.

    80" of snow this week.

It sounds like you have a great setup to handle these storms! Definitely the setup with tires and size of machine makes a big difference. The only snow we got similar to that was 115" in three weeks of back-to-back storms in February 2015. Bought a 60" blower that summer, and since then no...

That is surprising they have 30MM pins - what I do in these cases is to shim or sleeve the stick ends with 1 1/8" x 1" bushings. Or get 30MM to 25MM bushings. Then buy the inexpensive attachments on TEMU or Ebay.

    Hydraulic hose replacement

DD—I forgot to mention that! When I did some hoses last fall, I raised the BH with stabilizers as high as it would go and then put jack stands under the frame. Once you get the hoses off, I didn't want to run it until it's fixed, then for safety.

Opinions - Replace B21 TLB with this B26 TLB?

Finally got the new cylinder - took 16 days via usps to get here. Its an oem cylinder so fit very well Also it’s winter and a good time to get the leaking piston on the backhoe stabilizer repaired - Kubota wanted $100 for seal kit - e-parts had them for 40 so got two.

DF - could not agree more on the quality of the buckets and size - a 12" would be perfect. I bought 3/8" steel and reinforced them. Interesting that the tilting/grading buckets are more HD built than the digging buckets, and the rock/screening bucket is the weakest of all of them. Wish they...

Tom - that's a good one - bucket of patience! Gotta remember that and you are so right on for this job, But to the OP question - tips and tricks to change BH hoses in the boom: - Lift the BH rear tires as high as possible with outriggers to make the boom and bucket as straight as possible so...

Yes you will see different prices the more you look through all the listings - they are all the same machine - Machinery Asia, USA Excavator etc, are Typhon as far as I know. Usually they have a "best offer" option too, so don't be shy to put in an offer - and ask them to add in some...

Small generators on sale at TSC from $179 and up

Geteh - yes the Champion generators are well-regarded and get consistently good reviews. Also the TSC 5500W Champion Inverter at $699 is only 120V RV style - maybe I-m looking at the wrong one.. As Ponytug stated, well pumps pull a lot of current on starting. We had a 5500 starting 4500W...

Looking to buy new trade old

Fixing stuff like hoses, changing the fluids, a battery, and doing some maintenance annually might cost you $500-1000 the first year or two. Then decide if you want to trade or keep it. A simple lexan sheet on the front to keep the wind off and maybe the back would make a difference. Replacing...

Does it have power steering option? They have a sturdy frame and loader but with a full bucket a bear to steer. Importing and modifying a new mini excavator from China

It's at the point of the "Lawn and Garden Mower" where MTD made Cub, JD, Troybilt, Sabre, Craftsman etc, lawn mowers with different colors and options, and engines from B&S etc. made in China. Then the price is heading in that direction too at $2-3000. So, like the Garden Tractor of the 70's...

Hi Tex, I ordered on May 3rd, and it was delivered on June 12th, so it took 5 weeks. It really depends on the port of entry. I think they bring them into a port on the East Coast, too—NJ/NY, as our driver was from PA—and then, of course, on the West Coast, into Long Beach. What I have seen is...

    LA271 loader on B2410?

The LA271 is in the same family as the LA352 for the B2410 series, so the frame width and fitment should be similar. However, as CH4Ohio stated, you need all the connecting bits and pieces to mount the loader frame to your tractor. Here are some good pictures on the LA271 on the B7300 for sale...
