You need a open center valve with power beyond and connect it before the three point valve under the seat. The steel pressure line coming from the hydraulic pump that where the supplies the three point. The power beyond port will supply hydraulic fluid to the three point valve.

Lots of bearings are sealed now vs being grease able. Automotive u-joints and wheel bearings are prime examples. I kinda doubt farmers are greasing +30’ discs once or twice a day anymore.

Well after welding the area around the valve stem on the one wheel I have a working McCormick M grain drill. I planted 2.5 acres of rye with it today. Note 225/75r15 tires are too wide as they rub on the drive end of the drill. It had 215s on it but couldn’t find any of them.

I have a Ford 917 flail mower. Over the years I have had to adjust the belt tension semi regularly. I have been spoiled by the serpentine belts in automotive applications in that they have automatic tensioners. I wonder if an automotive belt tensioner could be adapted to my 917 flail mower?

I did the rotor bearings on my Alamo fail with the housing blocked up and a floor jack on the rotor. It wasn’t a difficult job. Note everything on a Alamo fail is heavier than a John Deere 25a or Ford 917.

Likely not due to water but rather due to calcium chloride which is ver corrosive.

It’s been multiple decades since I worked with dry liners and they were IH not Massey. However, I think all dry liners have to be honed after installation.

It’s interesting that NH shows it is for both gear and HST tractors and some loaders. I wonder what i is used for on a gear drive tractor? On loaders I guess it’s for a third function.

Dlctcg, Here’s another picture with a flashlight shining on the device/controller/connection. Also, it appears and feels li it is connected. Another thing the controller/device appears to be oriented reverse compared to your picture.

Do these two pictures show it? This set of connectors is almost straight below the one in my first picture.

I’m going say that it was an option for all the TC45 and below. Here are some pictures of a TC45 with a mid mount mower that was listed on TractorHouse in the last couple of years.

I’ve purchased flail parts and blades from both Flailmaster and Montage and both have been great to deal with.

Well the two bullet connectors we’re not undone, but one looked loose so I unplugged both and reconnected them. I tried it out but the two speed didn’t shift. I may try running 12 volts straight to it and see if it shifts that way. Then I’d know if it was just an electrical issue.
