    logsplitter question

I use my tractor to skid logs behind my shop where I put a dedicated 220V line out back for the splitter. I paid about $1k maybe 8 years ago. They are close to $1600 now

    logsplitter question

We burn about 6 cords a year and like to have 2 years worth of worth available to keep ahead. The tractor is too handy for the rest of my wood handling to tie up with a 3ph splitter and I hate the noise and fumes from a gas powered stand alone so I ponied up and got a 16 ton 220 volt electric...

A bicycle or a lawn tractor?

Yes, this is a bother. I make an effort to pull as far to the road edge as possible, sometimes onto the gravel shoulder so they have plenty of room to safely pass. It still takes a while for them to get the message.

A bicycle or a lawn tractor?

I have been riding since I got my first balloon tired bike at age 5. I have been through a few more bikes in the last 65 years and about 5 years back my wife paid for me to have a "bike fitting". Basically, you sit on a computer connected "bicycle" and a tech manipulates it through the computer...

    L vs M series Kubotas?

I started off with an L4630 GSTC and loved it but it was aging and I wanted to get into something bigger. Found a used pre-tier 4 M6040 DTC for a great price and snapped it up. The M is a beast compared to the L in all categories. Larger wheels, much higher loader capacity and of course 15 more hp.

My M would blow hot air on AC or fan only positions. Turned out to be a stuck heater valve. I put an inline ball valve on one of the heater hoses and that solved the problem. I will open the valve come colder weather to turn the heat back on. Before I cut the heater hose I tested it by...

Do homeowners buy snowplows to plow their own properties?

I have always plowed our twisty, gravel drive over the past 35 years. For the first 28 years with pickups and for the last 7 years with tractor mounted plows. The trucks deteriorate quickly between the abuse of plowing and the northeast road salt. The tractors are bulletproof when it comes...

I bought a well used 2004 L4630DTC with 2400 hrs and fel, box blade and bush hog delivered for $15k back in 2014. I sold the bushhog for $850, put 800 hrs on the L in 4 years and then sold it for $14k. That paid for more than half of my M6040 [I already had the other half saved]
