    Helmet light

So I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this but... I was lamenting my cruddy shop lighting and annoyed at having to keep moving work lights while grinding today.... First I was thinking someone probably makes a welding helmet with a built-in head light. Or I could modify my existing...

how should I flush hydraulic fluid?

So I recently bought a used Woods backhoe attachment. I do not know the service history. Before I put it on my hydrostatic MX4800 in the spring, I was thinking I should flush out the old hydraulic fluid so as to not contaminate my UDT2. Several people were nice enough to describe how they...

Backhoe  Is this how I mount this BH90-X?

New to me Woods BH90-X! Been looking for an affordable used BH90-X or Kubota BH92 for about 8mos. $4150 with 24" bucket in reasonable shape (no subframe or thumb). I think I did pretty good. (Just let me believe I did even if I didn't!) Very excited but will have to wait till spring to get...

Could someone please tell me what the icons mean when there is a new reply to one of my subscribed threads! The square icon to the left of the thread title with an envelope in it. Sometimes the square is blue or red. Either color can have a green dot. What do these mean? :confused3:

    Price Check 2014 vs 2015 MX5200

That 1691lbs number for the LA1065 is for 500mm forward of the lift pin at max height where the loader is the weakest. Lift capacity at 1500mm and 500mm in front of pins is 2319lbs so make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Here are the tables/graphs from my LA1065 manual.

FROPS question for engineers and experienced fabricators

Has anyone built or seen a tractor FROPS without 'B' pillars? I'd like to fab a cage for my MX4800 for working in the woods to protect me and the tractor. However, I'm concerned about visibility for loader/grapple work which I do a lot of. I was thinking of a square/rectangular frame above...

Not sure where to post this and it may get removed anyway but I have a suspicion that's been bugging me. I suspect that at least some of the posters on TBN are financially compensated to post by manufacturer. We know this happens with online reviews. I am not suggesting that the TBN...

Rotating HD Tree shear/puller ~ Got one?

I went with the Jawz for several reasons. I wanted both sides to articulate. The jaw are on the same circuit so they self-center. So it is ok if the tractor is a little off center. With only one moving jaw the loader may get torqued to the side a little as the jaw closes. You then are gonna...

    should I cut this?

I bought a wet pressure gauge to test my hydraulics. On the top there is a blue rubberized nipple with a sticker that says "cut top after installation." I read in another post where someone did this and glycerin then leaked out. I need to be able to use this laying flat. Do I have to cut it?

    Best budget spray gun setup

So I think I've had enough finger tip neuropathy from spray cans to justify a spray rig. Mostly small jobs for equipment paint and primer. Also might try out with laquer and varnish. I have a decent size wheelbarrow air compressor that I think will put out 8cfm @ 80psi. This won't make me...

"tact-tor!!!" Actually his 3rd word (first 2 syllable). "Dad" and "dog" were the first two. It was also my first sons 3rd word! It's funny the affinity they have to tractors. I guess we are born with it and it never wears off.

Some are short (36" long) and others are longer (48-56"). Any thoughts on which is better trade off on...
