Has anyone used this tune-up kit, or should I spend about 10 bucks more and get the Generac version?

All art is subjective. Are they dead? No. They are active.
Is there 1 band that best describes your taste? For me it's Led Zeppelin. Other favorites are The Allman Brothers (& Gov't Mule etc) Rush, Pink Floyd, everyone during the Grunge era, Metallica, The Black Crowes etc..
Another excellent...
I wanted to share this band that I just heard about 3 days ago. Just like with Tool, they were unknown to me for over 10 years in!
I've added several rock bands from a Reddit thread and did not like any of them.
This is All Them Witches. All I can say is, DAAYUM!!
You're welcome!!
Nobody mentioned this particular unit, I read some reviews and watched some videos on YouTube and selected it on my own. I'll get the machine on Tuesday.
This cajun fella made a modification to lift the logs up. I don't need that now, but my day is coming!
I want something towable and gas powered. I’d like to split the wood where the tree falls. I don’t think I’d use more than 2 or 3 cords a year, but I want something that can handle larger rounds and not get twisted up trying. Reading older threads here people mention vertical splitting, I’m for...
It's been awhile since I checked out an AC video, it's been a minute since I've been here. That was really cool. We rode similar Polaris snow machines on Whistler Blackcomb about 10 years ago.
Yesterday was the first time I saw more than 1 HB since I put the feeders out a month ago.
Last year started late, so I was worried, but it ended up being the best season in the 8 years I've been here.
An hour East of Atlanta..
The property he bought is really nice and remote. That sitting area with the view, rocks. I recently got a 4K monitor and watch most of his videos on the PC.
And yes, he creates most of his problems. He creates excellent videos and is clearly making a ton of money. Good for him.
I have the setup that works with the pressure washer. It works well enough but i have a reasonable setback with my trees.
I used to get on the roof with the backpack blower but that isn't such a great idea any longer!
I've never seen a more contentious business relationship than that with a builder and a homeowner.
My advice is not to tell him anything but to explain your side of things and see what he thinks.
In the current environment you really don't have any choice because as you said starting with...
I was going to mention Deadwood. Vulgarity does not bother me, in fact I am at times quite vulgar!
I almost did not finish the first episode because it just seemed gratuitous. I'm glad I hung in there because this is one of the all-time best series in my opinion.
Another example is when Richard...
Would this unit handle modifications on a utility trailer? I want to add d rings and replace the mesh on the floor of the trailer.
Also considering doing something along these lines..
These are handy! I put one in my cabinet where all my spices are, and the best part about it is it typically works! It looks like they're out of stock currently
https://www.harborfreight.com/led-motion-sensor-light-56920.html
How about over cracklin cornbread? I came across this video this morning and actually watched a couple of them. I don't think I've ever had fried corn but based on this video I do have the knife used to strip the corn cob.
I'll try it soon.
Is that the same as "sheet" on a shingle? My dad is from Ohio and that, tuna fish casserole and bologna spread stand out as his favorite childhood meals my mom would prepare for him.
My dad was not the kind of man you could get cute with but we would openly mock him watching him devour these...
You might need better slaw?
After shredding the shoulder I vacuum seal and freeze in 6 ounce portions that are simply awesome. I need to stock the freezer with another butt before fall is over.
I typically like mine with pickles and toasted (sometimes buttered) brioche buns.
Agreed but it still sometimes takes me 3 tries to drive off the farm with everything I wanted to take with me.
My house is organized and not cluttered. What’s left of my brain, not so much!
This thread is going in a bunch of different directions so I don’t remember if you were able to use Wi-Fi assist on your cell phone?
For about the past year and a half, it’s the first time since the early 90s that my cell phone was so clear. Like the previous poster said, at times it sounds...
That’s actually a good idea but I’d also make a joke and tell her if she forgets tomorrow why I bought her flowers, I’d remind her.
From the age of 11 or 12 to the age of 15 or 16 I helped an old family friend who was building a house out in rural Louisiana. He had lost his smokes and we tore...
I just found out you no longer need a burn permit in the state of Georgia. I find that interesting because there is no mechanism to keep someone burning on an arid and or windy day.
It’s odd because the permits were free and you can either call an 800 number and receive a permit number or you...
I understand what the law is trying to accomplish but that doesn’t stop someone from suing me and me having to pay an attorney.
I think I told the story before but three years ago my neighbors boyfriend’s nephew came over introduced himself and asked if he could hunt on the land. I politely...
5 years in a management position and your pay only dips $150.00 a week to go back?
That is a no-brainer in my book. The added stress of management isn’t worth 3 times that.
I’ll give it a shot..
L-R Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, David Bowie,Bob Marley, Jim Morrison, Amy Winehouse, John Lennon, Prince, Kurt Cobain, George Michael, Elvis Presley, no earthly idea, and Jimi Hendrix
Here’s a short video with a Beavis impression. I guess you could say I’m a cultured sophisticate AND a pyromaniac!
My fence lines do look nice now [emoji108]
I’ve had many large burn piles on the last 2 properties. Some stacked by hand, some with machines. Those have been burned out in the middle of a large pasture.
My current pile is in the rear of the property, near a wooded area.
I’m not burning that one until it rains!
Here’s a few pics..
Same here, I haven't watched his channel in a little while. I noticed he's wearing a boot on his lower leg. Does anyone know how he hurt his leg?
Every time he jumps off of a piece of equipment he always lands oddly. I was wondering if it finally bit him.
Didn’t mean to poop on your thread, I like the pic, it works better as a gag saying “when you’re cold outside, so are they.. Bring them in”! Or something like that.
Cute pony too.
Man, that’s beyond dumb. What do you think happens when sheets of rain slam into the window, not to mention if it gets blown out? If the big one spooks he will stomp the dogs into a grease stain, not to mention get tangled up in that crate.
Horse chicks are nuts [emoji23]
The lights showed up yesterday and I put up 2 of them. They are very bright! I’ll get the other 2 up today before football starts.
I’m going to install 2 smart switches to control them, looking into that now.
My cameras arrive today [emoji41]
I'm an hour east of Atlanta and just about all of them are gone. I had the best year by far in the 6 years I've lived on this property, but they have most certainly moved on.
I've been filling two feeders about half full and will continue to do so until I don't see any hummers.
I purchased these for just over $50 each. I wanted something comparable to a 500w halogen. They will arrive Friday.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
https://www.amazon.com/iMaihom-Waterproof-Floodlight-Adjustable-Playground/dp/B092D2ZYJC
That is what I was researching, new housings with LEDs in them.
Well that’s better than the life of the halogen bulbs I’ve been using. Did you buy them locally or online?
I’ve got four 500 W halogen fixtures outside my home. I’m not interested in motion detecting, in fact they are never on unless I turn them on to let the dog out or run the grill, etc.
The bulbs don’t seem to last very long considering how little they are used.
I thought I might change them...
My 82 year old mother has had swelling in one or both legs and her GP wouldn't so much as give her a diuretic without getting her heart checked out. Her heart's always been fine, her blood pressure is slightly lower than a 25 year old so we've waited months to get some tests and then we'll wait...
I like this box, I also got a full set of Icon combo wrenches in both flavors. I may build a new garage and at that point I'll have more room.
The magnetic power strip and paper towel holder is pretty slick
I got these during the parking lot sale for three bucks, I think. They cost just a little bit more normally. Maybe I haven't had a new pair in a long time but these fit so well you forget they're on. Having unscratched lenses might be a part of that but they really are comfortable.
Same here, I figured this was because my neighbor just started beekeeping but that is a half mile from me. The most I’ve seen is about 10-12, a wasp or 2 at times. In the past just an occasional wasp.
We had a banner year with the hummers but they are mostly gone now.
My neighbor has a side hustle repairing small gas engines. He receives a fair amount of packages, especially factoring in his family so he put one of these down near the foot of the drive to keep the dummies off the pavement.
Great idea.
Same here. You could hear the truck coming and we'd all jump on our bikes [emoji38]
In the spring we'd set trot lines amongst the trees next to the Mississippi.
We had several neighborhood fish frys! We caught some monster catfish.
I ended up with YouTube TV and couldn’t be happier.. Interactive menus, the ability to record, etc. I also like being able to keep an eye on a 2nd game with an iPad.
Now I’m thinking about a 4K TV, I had one when I moved here 7 years ago but it was assassinated by my Roomba.
If My LSU Tigers...
I'll agree.. the employee that told me is in his mid to late fifties and was a retired business owner, I think a machine shop. Next time I'm in that store and it's not very often, I'll ask him because he did tell me that the batteries are covered just like everything else in the rigid line...
I think Rigid has a lifetime warranty. I was picking up some DeWalt impact drivers the other day and the associate was telling me about rigid and he used the vacuum as an example. He said he bought one like 15 years ago and has exchanged it since he said even the batteries for Rigid power tools...
Okay I have Verizon Unlimited for my cell phone so I can get Hulu along with ESPN+, I'll have to look into how much extra it is to add the SEC network to Hulu.
Once I got starlink about a year ago I happily killed DirecTV who I used to absolutely love years ago. With football season starting this is the one thing I must get. I'm going to install an antenna to get the local stations out of Atlanta, that won't be a problem. I know you can get the SEC...
On the advice of her elder care attorney, my mother placed absolutely everything into the trust with the exception of her automobile. That is the one thing he said can't be titled to the trust. The only reason I kept it is because it's easier for her to get into than my vehicles.
My grandparents lived like paupers and saved and invested everything they earned. A lifetime of side hustles while granny kept dogs for people on vacation. They left an incredible estate for 2 daughters and 7 grandkids.
Putting everything in a trust not only protects your wealth, it...
They had their parking lot sale this past weekend. I picked up a creeper, a 5 drawer US General tool box, another set of 3 ton jack stands, and not on sale full set of Icon combo wrenches in both versions. I wanted to get the ratcheting type but those sets were missing a few wrenches that the...
Sorry for your loss Sig.. I lost my grandmother and my father and then my grandfather all spaced about 9 or 10 months apart. They all really suffered. Gandma was 100, was diagnosed with dementia around 98 years of age. PawPaw fought Parkinson's forever, was skinny as a rail when he finally left...
Same..I have the Stihl FS-130R and it is an absolute beast! When I cleared my fence lines of privet Hedges and whatnot I put a blade on it and it just did a fantastic job. The trimmer head will lay down grass up to your chin tall.
Most of my neighbors are prepared with gardens, livestock etc. All but 1, we'll have to feed them in event of a total meltdown [emoji1]
To give you an example, he has two 1 gallon gas cans to cut 5 acres with a zero turn. Bless his heart..
My can goods will be donated to the local food pantry...
Not a single HB since my last post. If it is because of Avian I fear I've lost a few generations of repeat customers. We have a ton of Cardinals, the young ones are starting to feed.
An hour East of Atl and I saw 2 at once, just a single time. I took down the feeders, cleaned them real well and made a new batch of nectar and I haven't seen any for 2 days.
On the upside we have 12 or more Goldfinch which is more than normal.
Verizon most certainly throttles. They had me capped at 50 GB and once I went over that, web pages would not load but the YouTube app would work if I forced it to play in 360p with occasional buffering lags.
This ethernet adapter would reside next to the router? I hate to assume anything, anymore.
Lou, the cord going to the new dish does in fact unplug, mine came off in a windstorm the other day haha
I just installed my dish and I've got to say, I was super duper totally excited to drill two 1 inch holes through the brick to fit the molded connector. I've installed things like this my entire life and that they consider this a self-install kit is surprising.
Mostly All I watch is (free) YouTube. I just got Starlink Internet so I'll be canceling DirecTV in the coming days. The only question is what I'm going to do for college football later this year. I plan on putting in an antenna to get whatever is offered on local stations.
You can always downsize [emoji1787]
An old man told me years ago "That sounds like a great idea, build a $100,000 Barn to protect your $100,000 worth of equipment"
Yes..
I have the Generac 22KW on propane. I went a step up with a 500 gallon tank which I had them bury.
It’s been great. The controller failed (in warranty) but I am pleased otherwise. I keep my freezer stocked and knowing that an outage won’t ruin my meats and prepared foods is worth the cost...
He was testing locations on the ground also. As for the roof, could he not lay down up there? Serious question, I’ll need to do this myself.
The new version has no Ethernet port. You have to pay $20 for a dongle that is back ordered.
https://youtu.be/MDvwwpX1y9g
That was hysterical. The kid climbs on the roof in sandals and luckily for him, the only thing that fell to the ground was his phone.
Could he not have laid on the ground to scan with his phone? [emoji23]
I paid for my kit today. Madison Georgia, an hour East of Atlanta.
They said it will ship within 2 weeks. Time to square away my displays because DIRECTV is fired.
I'm curious about the paddle attachment as well. It's not that hitting the rocks with my lawn mower hasn't been effective, I just can't afford the blades to get it completely finished. ;-)
Georgia is doing the same thing but I'm not optimistic that they're going to provide something that's going to compete with what starlink offers but we will find out
The people I work for now don't use the pass through it's really not that hard like I thought it would be to use the other kind. They also showed me a neat trick using a small tweaker size Flathead to untwist the wires it makes it really fast
You’ve always come across very laid back and you always use tact and humility when letting someone know they are screwing something up. I’m unsure how you could be different IRL?
Anyway, awesome project and post some more pics!
I had the same plan and I called displeased and they updated it to 50 gig per device. The first month, after it went over 15 gig it started to crawl so I called again and they have this flimsy fine print that says you can get good speed so long as no one in your area is using the network which...
I recall reading about an instance where they didn't find the burglar in the chimney until much later. I guess he had plenty of time to consider his life choices.
After 10 years outside of my industry I’m back, as an employee this time. I took a position with a company that does high end residential low voltage systems.
When I was still in business, home automation was starting and I was resisting [emoji23] Shoot, I didn’t even use wireless unless in...
Jeff posted a durable cotton shirt in another thread so I thought I'd post the same, but pants. I haven't found any good khaki cargo pants in the last 8 years or more. Cherokee made some good ones that Target carried, but not any longer. I've been buying used jeans from Goodwill but these are...
Chicken soup
1 Whole Chicken (3-4 lb)
1 tablespoon "Better than Boullion" chicken base
Black Pepper (freshly cracked) to taste
Fill normal sized pot with enough water to cover chicken and add the above ingredients.
Water should be about 1/2 inch from top of pot.
Bring to a boil and reduce heat...
Glad things are going well and I don’t blame you for unplugging from social media etc.
Speaking of unplugging, nice solar setup. What kind of batteries did you go with?
I’m an hour east of Atlanta and I normally mow the last time just prior to Thanksgiving. This gives me a nice green lawn for a few days and looks nice for the visitors.
Once the centipede goes to seed I quit cutting, this is generally in late September. The overgrowth protects against frost...
Medicare takes to long and only pays for the cheaper models.
She can afford it, thankfully.
She’s pretty miserable lately, so much so that she’s going to try and use a bed again.
This time it will be a twin size so she can’t roll over.
Anyone have recent experience with them?
I know she wants one with the head and foot and the height of the bed, all adjustable with a remote.
We’ve tried 2 lift chairs and the 2nd one will be returned. They just aren’t comfortable enough and I believe she would benefit by sleeping with her...
I was out of town for a week and returned on the 18th and my birds are gone. (Hour East of Atlanta)
I hope they come back in the numbers we saw this year.
Isn’t that the truth. Back in the day we had these things called bouncers that beat and tossed in the street drunk trouble makers.
We are at the beach for our yearly family trip. Me and my brothers had this discussion about how things are so different now.
We used to let the bars clear out...
I did the same on my spraying equipment but the lettering was larger. Impressive job on the small drill case lettering.
I often use the flashlight on my phone and sometimes take a picture and then pinch zoom for other can’t read scenarios.
The poor always get screwed.
The managers evec’ed, left the residents to rot.
During Katrina the police chief and the mayor of New Orleans did the same thing. Just garbage..
Never heard the term so I did a search..
“A rat wall is a barrier meant to prevent burrowing animals from getting beneath your deck or patio. ... Concrete rat walls are essentially extensions of the foundation slab. It's width is generally between 1 foot and 18 inches, often at a depth of 18...
Same here.. I feel like I still have at least 75% of the birds I had a month ago.
I’m starting to see some large flocks of migrating birds wondering when I’m putting seed down.
I like the Herbie Curbie type bins like Diggin posted for the wheels. They are handy around the yard also. The one’s the trash companies use are nicer due to heavier construction and larger wheels. Perhaps you could get one used?
Your idea about leaving your current cans in a trailer seems like...
Me and 2 of the Ida refugees.. I was told these kids were very loud, not sure where that came from!
Their momma is taking them daily to see their Great G’maw, she”s in heaven!
@tallyho8 Don’t concern yourself with someone else’s ramblings, brother. Take care of business.
My refugees arrived an hour ago from Houma. My niece and her boys, aged 5 and 7. A big sigh of relief for our family.
Agreed.. Why kids take Spanish is beyond me. Do we not have enough Spanish speakers already here? I’d study Russian before Spanish.
Mandarin first.
China is serious about leading and education is the way to do it. Compare that to what we are teaching in our schools..
NYT huh?
My dad is retired NOPD. I know what happened.
It looks like my niece that lives in Houma is headed my way with her boys, 5 and 7 years old. Oh boy.. I started a list of rules and a day later it went in the shredder.
This is supposed to be the more quiet and comfortable evac for...
I used my county extension office to get the kit and if you follow their directions you will have good results. You take soil samples and mail it in to a lab. I’ve done the same with my well.
Storm chasers travel from Houma to Cocodrie amazing video, light edit.
The storm gets strong around the 13:00 minute mark.
27:17 drone footage in Houma
37:32 Driving from Houma to Cocodrie the day after
39:58 How did the tractor end up there??
It happened post Katrina, Blackwater was brought in. Heck, the cops did some of that too.
There was a big controversy back then when medical staff at nursing homes euthanized some elderly patients that weren’t stable enough to evacuate. They were found not guilty but they were drug through the...
This is edited footage of Golden Meadow, about 20 minutes North of Port Fourchon. What a mess. Just after the 4 minute mark while kneeling behind the bed of his truck for protection, he yells tornado. They are storm chasers, a different breed lol
I’ve been watching the live feed I posted...
Here’s a video of the storm arriving in Port Fourchon which is just west of Grand Isle, all the way down at the gulf. About 100 miles due South of New Orleans.

I just started using my Roomba after a banishment 5 years ago when I first moved here.
It destroyed a VERY expensive television.
I could hardly understand just how it did it, the TV was on the floor in front of the fireplace, right after we moved in.
It was acting weird, getting stuck...
I’m somewhat of a unicorn being from New Orleans and not being a gambler. I went to Harrah’s once to meet friends for dinner while home for a HS reunion. I went to the Silver Slipper in Waveland MS in 2019, had a crappy seafood buffet and burned $20.00 on slots.
I play the lottery when it goes...
After reading the thread title I was pretty sure this wasn’t about the rodeo!
I’ve been to a couple, turns out I’m not so good with sitting on bleachers. We had a great time though, I also enjoyed the barrelmen and the campy humor of the clowns and the PA folks.
Hunker down Tally!
Perhaps that storm will turn, remember Nash Roberts? I wish he was still here because he’d know.
One of the last storms I faced back home, me and and childhood friend of mine met a couple of traveling nurses from KC. They were freaked out about the eye hitting the city the...
It is perfectly healthy, that is the rub.
I removed a different pine (beautiful tree) when I first moved here that was growing into a pin oak. 5 years later I’m stressed the oak is too close to my barn.
I prune it every spring but it’s close to growing onto the barn roof.
I’ll give that a...
Whoa, we did the same, just outside NOLA. But I think we got a nickel. We bought candy at the drugstore. (I’m almost 55 now)
I don’t think people litter like they used to. I wonder if the crying Indian commercials were effective? He was actually Italian, lived in or near New Orleans.
It lands tomorrow, the 16th. anniversary of Katrina. The only family left living down there is a niece and nephew. The niece is in Houma and the nephew is in Madisonville. They are all at their mother’s who is in Covington, (North of Lake Pontchartrain, right where you want to be)
Here is the tree I was talking about. Would anyone else remove it?
I just took this one, it shows more perspective. The 2 pecans to the left are fine and so is whatever that is on the right.
Perfectly said. In the evening I’ll even sit outside if rain is moving in, it generally comes out of the West or South and I’ve got a picture perfect view of it. The house faces 210 degrees.
I mow about 2 acres around the house including frontage and the driveway. There is a 20 acre hay pasture out front. Trees would block my view of the sunset and the hundreds of birds I see feeding on bugs every evening. I also like watching the local flock of geese flying from pond to pond.
I...
