    x320 Steering Issue

I suspect that the rack and pinion may have slipped a gear, causing his steering issue.

Oil & Fuel JD 5420 Fuel Filter - Wish List

The electric fuel pump retro fit will solve the (automatic) purge problem by pushing air out of the system and back to the tank via the return lines. I don't see anything from Deere that addresses the heated filter issue. The in-line strainer is:RE220719 The check valve is:AL117189

Shooters!! Show us your practice range.

This is where I practice my handgun skills. The plate rack is resettable by pulling a cable. The shooter stands on a gravel pad, so brass is easy to recover. The pistol is my little Ruger 22/45. My favorite, due to price of ammo. Please share your photos. I'm always looking for new ideas.

Is it leaking around the dipstick or the fill cap? Keep in mind that hyd oil expands when it gets hot. I found this service bulletin.

    Another log splitter project

I've been collecting parts for some time and I'm about ready to build my splitter. Would you guys, please, double check my calculations. I've got a Casappa PLP20.16 pump [1.03 in3/rev, 3600 (max)psi, 3000 (max)rpm]. I calculate 13.38 GPM. Does 28 HP sound right? The pump is brand new and was...

    4310 geared model won't move

jk, Your "shimmery" oil concerns me. You should also replace that suction screen with the hole in it. You can test the system pressure: Attach your gauge at point "A". You should have a minimum pressure of 135 psi at idle maximum pressure of 175 psi.

    John Deere Full Throttle

Throttle sensor is item #18, assuming HST. PRT machine has no sensor. The more I ponder this situation, the less confidence I have in the TPS being the problem. I am thinking the TPS is just an input device for the HST controller and likely has little effect on the fuel delivery. It wouldn't...

    John Deere Full Throttle

This seems to suggest a sticking governor. "The injection pump meters fuel as determined by the governor". The governor is apparently in the injection pump and not serviceable. It does appear to be lubricated by sump oil. The oil you are using should be fine. 25 degrees is not that cold in the...

    990 John Deere

Looks like fuel and temp share a wire at plug X6. The feed is from fuse #4. #150 is chassis ground. Not sure if your wire will be #117 or #118 at the plug. Looks like the only black one on the plug.

    JD 2210 Heater Hose Connections

I found some information on the 2210 cooling system. Ideally, you would tap in near the rear of the head , route the coolant through your heater core and return it to the thermostat housing. Installing your heater core in-line on the bypass tube may be easier.

    loader arm speed different

Rico, You have a missing or broken pin. #16 is your timing bar. The #17 pins keep the carriers in "time". This is a pic of a 300cx loader, but all pretty similar.

John Deere 5425 4x4 Differential problems

Sorry, wrong tractor. The type of diff lock you have depends on serial #. This is a common configuration inside the diff. There are a number of different pedal configurations. Check the pedal for obstructions.

    755 4WD Front Axle Problem

Here is a better pic of that differential. I would check the input shaft #18. I suspect the spline connection between 18 and 19. This failure would produce very little material and the symptoms you describe. This would also be a relatively cheap fix.

    GT245 and exhaust deflector

Exhaust deflector kit AM132905 is no longer available. However, the individual parts seem to be good numbers: M148670 Muffler diffuser(qty 1), M148692 Heat deflector(qty 1), 37H2 screws(qty 3). The whole thing should be less than 30 bucks. Here is a clip of the tech bulletin you referred to.

    JD GT245 Road Speed ?

GT245 only showed me one transaxle. The filter (item 18) is an M808763 retailing for $51.00. It is located in the center section of the transaxle. I would recommend having this done by some one familiar with hydrostatics. Those tiny hydro units are VERY particular. The smallest scratch on the...
