OP, ok, just happen to have a pto pump that ran a 3point backhoe. Have to find out what the flow rate was on it. A sufficient tank would be another question.

Can/how could I run a front mount brush cutter on my 3038h. I have a WR LONG 3rd function set up on it now to operate a grapple. Only 3/8 hoses though. No rear remotes.

    Husky 266xp part 2

Followed suggestion in previous post and ordered D starter handle and received this am. Replaced cord and was oh so careful about not letting starter spring unwind. Ran new cord up thru D handle and knotted. Second pull and knot pulled thru new handle. Fortunately did not unwind spring...

Even way back I’ve always had to have the saw on the ground holding with my foot. Compression has always been STRONG. My sthil 311 has the compression release and it makes it so much easier.

    Husky xp266

Had this saw for a very long time. Always a bear to get started the first time. Compression makes it almost impossible for the old guy to get more than a click on each pull. Does not have a compression release. Plug out it spins very easy. How can I reduce some compression to get it to spin...

    Kubota kx61-2

After warm up engine will run “away” if you do not use any controls. If you keep something moving then ok. Looked at a bunch of YouTube about governor but can’t find my particular motor. Extremely difficult to get at. What to look for if I get the inspection plate off?

    1900 rear lift

The weather has gotten down to one degree which is very cold for n ga. Not above freezing for several days. I’ve let it run for a good bit but think the hyd screen maybe frozen, clogged to the point oil won’t flow. Pulling the filter on one of these is more than a pain. Hopefully it will...

    1900 rear lift

Had the jerky lift problem for some time. Utube showed problem. Replaced crumbled seal in piston in sleeve under seat. Worked lift arms a bit to get rod properly seated in back/bottom of piston and bolted back up ok. Hydro fluid full. Flow control valve in middle position. Lift won’t lift...

Where do you add hydraulic fluid?

My 1920 has a separate power steering reservoir right side of engine up high. About 3” dia x 10” black, with rubber cap on top.

OP Filter seemed to be in good shape, changed anyhow. There was an honest 1/16” thick crust completely covered the screen. Used a dental pick to scrape out, then blow gun.

    Stihl 194

OP HERE. Thanks for all of the replies and YouTube. Took the carb off, and the plate that has just one screw(at least on this carb) there is a super fine screen, about the size of a pea. It was COMPLETELY clogged over. Dental pick and some air and all is well. Just got to tinker with...

This unit doesn’t have a screen, just a little baffle screwed on the side of the muffler. Tried running with baffle on and off, no difference. Checked fuel lines and can see no cracks. Ran H and L screws in most any combination and no constant high speed. Seems like the H screw only has...

    Kubota kx61-2

Cranks and runs fine until…you stop using any controls (throttle at 1600rpm) and the engine “runs away”. As soon as you operate any control it idles back down to operating rpm. As long as something is moving all is good. Something about the governor? Or what else?

    3038h fuel filter

Just did the 300 hr filters change. 3038H. Q on fuel filter. Book says remove drain on bottom, ok easy. Also says remove 2 wires from bottom. HOW, they seem to be moulded into the white plastic plug. ENDED UP USING CHANNEL LOCKS ANd just unscrewed plug but wires were pretty twisted up...

Mini excavator thumb - relief valve question

Question again, new to this so need a bit more info. In the ops attached pic there are 3 hoses. I’m guessing that the 3rd hose is to route excessive oil/pressure back to the tank? But how to plumb this back into the system? As posted above, I’ve added a thumb to my kubota x61 2 and I realize...

Mini excavator thumb - relief valve question

What brand is that relieve valve, where to get? I need one on my kubota 61. Just added a thumb and shattered a rock about the size of a big watermelon with too much pressure. My thumb requires 1800 psi per instructions.

    Kubota KX61-2 electrical/hydraulic issues.

I also just got an older 61-2. For the “controls” to work the left and right “arms” have to be pushed down. Because it was working, make sure the position switch’s within each arm are making proper contact. There are some fuses behind your left foot when sitting, check them first thing.

First alternator lasted 35 years, second 2 years. Dash now shows red light(alt) when cranked. On this unit when running, it will still run with key turned off(alt light off). So, is it ok to run with key in off position, guess it not charging, but doesn’t take much to crank. Shut fuel lever...

    LS Grapple

I also went with the titan 2 lid for my 3038H. It really is too heavy. I can pick up a lot but have to carry it low. Instead of the looped rod provided by titan to keep the hoses up out of the way, I use a screen door spring with a caribeaner hooked to each end, yea I know.

    Attaching quick couplers?

First time after initial install hooking up grappler. The only way I could get the couplers to latch was loosen the hose at the cylinder to relive the pressure and losing a cup of hdy fluid. When I unhooked the two lids were closed down. So how do I leave the lids so that it will be easier...

    Ballast box--how big?

Hooked up the new grapple to the LS 3038H, and got scared real quick. 60" grapple at 650 lbs was probably to big, tried to lift a wet log 8'x22" and rear end went up like a rocket. Loaded tires and a box blade on the rear. Knew the load was heavy but wanted to see what it could do. So found a...

    Hydraulic fitting reducer

What do you really lose(or gain) by reducing from 1/2" to 3/8" or the other way, going from 3/8" to 1/2"? My new grapple has 1/2" plumbing but I'm running 3/8" from my 3rd function. I'm planning on using a 3/8 male to a 1/2 female thru a ISO 7241B coupler.

    WALVOIL valve search

My LS LL3104 loader uses a WALVOIL valve. Trying to do some research on the valve and the only ID I can find moulded into the valve body is 5 ( or maybe an S)/2P 1. Tons of valves on the WALVOIL web site, but nothing that seems to match these #'s. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

3038H and 3 rd function valve placement

A true 3rdfunction valve. The only place that seems like it will work will be to add a plate between the "valve bracket-bottom" and the FEL top hinge. No room under the deck as block takes up space, and not a firm place around the hood like in pics above. Just not much space between the FEL...
