30 years ago, we built a 40x80 shop for all the equipment, has worked well for us.

On my old JD I cut some foam rubber for the back and seat both, then tapped them on. Worked for 3-4 years then I repalced the worn out foam.

Earlier 2501 is the same tractor and my friends down the raod have one saying, it is a great machine making lots of hard work easy. The BH unit is well mounted and quite rigid in operation, I liked operating it when they were replacing their 400 ft water line.

I would pass on this trctor. You have the money for a much newer unit, money you would pour into this older model and still have an older model. Sounds like it has been abused as well so for my money I'd buy up closer to new.

the JD for me is better, not knocking the zero, I just found them rougher riding is all for the two high end ones I tried out. If your grass is like a golf course then both should be fine but at the prices of a zero I'll stick to my JD..

Most tire shops can order them, at least where I live they all service and sell tractor tires..A salesman would come look at them, decide the size and order them. size should be on the tires you have, and if concerned Kubota dealers will tell you the proper sizes.

My L series Kubota has 3 rear remotes and does the job! I tried to convince myself to use the front loader hoses idea but quickly figured out that was just not the way to go. Rear remotes are not very cheap but they are the best solution.

I understand the sizing down and while my L series Kubota works for most things, I'd like having a sub compact at times but finding one ued in my area is about imposible, but not giving up the L series anytime soon. Subs have gotten rediculous in price, like everything else these days.

Had a Yannmar tractor years ago, never again. Kubota is the benchmark all others are chasing in the small tractor market. Yannmar does make very good motors though having one in my JD Gator, it has run flawlessly for 15 years.

Kubota O40 comes with 4 or 6 way blades and I find the 6 way to be useful enough for blading things out after ditching or just cleaning up a mess although I can't see needing the 6W most of the time.

Mine is set flat with the ground. Go down one side back up the other works great for knocking down the bumps and filling in holes. Twice each year I recut crown using the trac hoe and blade.

EO is available in many areas, just not close by for me. I travel 30 miles one way to get it, what a pain plus extra expense over the $6.50 price of the gas.

Both my HF quick hitches work great, have 5 different impliments and all 5 fit them perfectly. I bought two hitches just in case one broke but both have been just fine after 5yrs of service and get used lots.

For this low amount of $7000. I would forgo buying insurance and just be self insured. Insurance can be a terrible drain on ones pockets sometimes. I would think a blanket coverage homeowners policy would cover this, I know mine does.
