B series with quick attach snow plow lifting question

Tried plowing snow with my L Kubota front loader but the snow builds up quick making the wheels spin. As a kid I pushed snow using the 8N with a 5ft rear blade at angle and whith chains on the tires. The snow, if not biting to deep sort of went to the side as I drove.

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

fees make money without the public getting a say. Any and all political boards can put on a fee for just about anything. If votors would stop electing these fee mongers we could have way less of them. They have set us up by where anything can be judged an enviormental issue theyby adding a fee...

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

So why do webmasters disallow free speech? It's pretty easy to say something in disagreement just so it's said in a polite manor and without hate toward others or using fowl language. The word tariff in itself is political, it comes via political decisions made by politicians.

How do y'all feel about Frigidaire vs. GE vs. Whirlpool

Our biggest issue with app these days is the printed circuit boards fail, and they are expensive to replace. Our old app were mechanical and worked well for a much longer period, they were real steel, cast and copper all made here in america and with very little alum and plastic that helps in...

    UTV Snowplow choice?

My JD diesel utv 4x4 works ok on level ground in snow, not so much on our hilly driveway. If putting 400# in the box it will come up just barely; I should have chains maybe. UTV's just don't have the weight for plowing other than flat ground with shallow snows, at least around here because the...

when is the best time of year to buy a tractor

Well, there used to be many post here about folks buying new tractors, now we see few. Glad to see you are wanting one. I'd say there is no best time other than specials we sometime see in late summer. That never worked for me because the unit I wanted never went on sale.

Going to look at a B2601 on Saturday morning Anything to inspect carefully?

I did not hear that John Deere is starting to move production out of USA. FOR some model tractors

IMO JD is a propriatory company, they make certian things and sell them worldwide. If demand falls JD must move in ways that preserve the company. Yes JD is a huge corp with lots of money, so is Boeing, however, that does not mean they must guarentee anyone a job and last years profit is no...

    Making Gator quieter

My JD UTV is the diesel model, the best tool I own sometimes but yes, the Yannmar engine is noisy. cutivator help

HEY, thanks for the info. No need of this impliment myself so might just put on Creigs list. Were these made by lots of companies besides Fergusion? Modern Gas Tractor? What's the Chance?

One of my Dad's 3 tractors was a JD 1020 gasser he bought new. I still have it today and she purrs along like new. I run it often during the summer and never leave gas in it for very long, a pain sometimes but it keeps things cleaner and is much easier to start. Tune ups are easy as well. Small...

Dealers Not Accepting Some Brands on Trade

Around here many brands are hard sell I think. Most off brands do not have very good dealer support. JD and kubota is what we see mostly when out driving around the farms. Many years back Massy was popular but lost their respect. New Holland has a good size dealer to the north but I seldom see...

Three range all the way otherwise you will be going to slow or to fast, med is just right for most work. Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

LouNY makes good points, I think it remains to be seen pending your type of grass pasture, the size of the tractor, and how you set up the mower. Were you able to discuss your situation before buying the mower, did the dealer help you make the choice? I have cut grass taller than my tractor...

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

You bought a 6ft ditch bank mower but don't say the tractor HP you have. Y blades are best for grass IMO - they leave a clean cut going thru grass like butter! Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

Are you saying next year you will be mowing 60 acres? If so, you need a bigger HP tractor that will mow fast enough to save time. Yes, they are industrial grade units that last a long time. If not working one commercially like ours are, I doubt it would ever need upgrading from using around the farm. We have 2 Kubota U-40s, both run flails great! Highly recommend this size unit. If using for yourself, around the farm, the U-35 is much...

L3902 very tippy what am I missing?

What? My L-2501 is used lots for moving gravel, bucket full loads. Never had an issue with rear wheels coming off the ground or even close. Of course the rears are filled with beetle juice and I do this work both with and without the rear mounted flail mower attached.
