    Bucket hooks

Here’s what I did to mine a couple years ago. Welded a 3/4” thick flat plate to the top for support. The clevis can be installed backwards and is out of the way. I use it for chaining tractor to trailer mostly.

    Gardens

Let's see some gardens and how you get them there. Here's ours, I'm guessing it's 30’ X 90'. It has 6 rows in it. I didn't get to plow it this year because it was so wet and ours stays wet on one end and it's red land. I been cutting it here lately and ran the yard tool over it then listed rows...

How do you organize your towing accessories?

I keep what I need in the toolbox of the truck or the one mounted on the tongue of the gooseneck. Couple years ago I had my friend at powdercoat paint all mine so they would stick out if someone wanted to “borrow” one.

    Barn find IH 140

    Wood Splitter With Fast Hitch

Got the hitch welded on. I left the flat stock sticking out both sides because I was going to brace it off each side. Then I decided to cut them off because the braces will be in the way of the power plant and I trust my welds that it won’t break apart. I decided to box in the upright piece to...

    Wood Splitter With Fast Hitch

I traded for a Troy-Bilt Horse tiller years ago and it came with a wood splitter attachment. The wood splitter hasn't been used in some time, it is self contained all but the engine which is why you have to remove the tines and attach the wood splitter. I had a water pump with an 8HP Briggs &...

What did you do at work today?

Took the pump off this engine and brought the Troy-Bilt wood splitter in and got a fast hitch prong and going to marry them all together.

    Hurricane Michael

We got a little damage. The worse of it is a tree on our building. Our power was out for a little while. Had to run the generator for a couple hours before it came back on. I wasn’t gonna hook it up but the kids needed a bath. Had 2 trees on fence as well.

What did you do at work today?

Worked on a torque tube for a friends super A. The holes needed threaded inserts to get them back to 5/8-11. Bought two and had to make two. Two I made are 1 1/8-12 and 1-12 outside thread, held in with an 1/8” roll pin.

I got an articulated tractor for my 12th birthday and somehow it survived my childhood and our 6 year old son plays with it now, this tractor is 31 years old, lol. I had a wagon load of corn to bag this evening and he came to help and brought his wagon and the ole John Deere.

Tiller What's the deal with the paint on the PTO tiller from TSC?

I have a friend who owns a powdercoat business and he does a lot for me, farm equipment of my own. I just ask him why powdercoat from overseas comes off in chunks and doesn't hold up. He said they don't clean the surface good or cure it long enough. He also said he knows in the Philippines they...

    Suggestions on Small Seeders?

Also use this behind the Cub or 140. I bought it from a friend for cheap and had it powdercoat painted after making a fast hitch prong for it. You can get them with a 3 pt hitch as well.

    Storm tracker thread

We only got 8” of rain from it. This is a 48” pipe that had 2 dump truck loads of busted up concrete packed around it with a trackhoe. Most of the concrete is gone.

Bucket Hooks Hooks on the FEL bucket

I welded a piece of 3/4” thick X 3” wide flat bar all the way across the top and put a hitch in the middle and use it to lift stuff as well as chain it down. The clevis can be turned around out of the way or taken off.
  179. Shaneard

What did you do at work today?

Brought the 4630 with me so I can take it to get new tires, bad day Saturday bushhogging and a stick. The tires are pretty tired anyway, they are original from 1993, they only have 1,088 hours but they are weather cracked. Firestone’s here we come.

    Best/Favorite Auctioneer

Who's your favorite auctioneer? I had the pleasure of seeing Eli Detweiler helping E.B. Harris here in N.C. several times and he is by far my favorite. Lee Roy Van Dike came to Denton N.C. to sing once and got into the auction for a while too, he was really good as well. Eli has to be my...

    Control joints in shop slab??

Our shop floor at work doesn't have them. It made its own. The one that looks like it's been sawed in is actually where they poured half the building then did the other half.

    Any Anvil collectors here ?

I took some scrap today and they had this Hardee trailer sitting at the scrap pile. I ask if someone brought it for scrap, they said yes. I ask what could I buy it for? They said it has to go through the shredder, we don't sell things otherwise. It was a decent trailer, I sold one just like it...

    Any Anvil collectors here ?

Here's ours. I can't remember the name on it. I cleaned it a couple years ago and rattle canned it black after making the stand for it. The stand has a square peg welded on it the anvil sits on, that's the only thing holding it in place.

Ford Tractor photo thread, lets start one!

Any Ford owners ever seen a John Deere tool box? They're pretty neat. The tray comes out and hangs on the front. The box comes off with the simple removal of a pin so you can take it with you. The John Deere decal can have a Ford emblem put over it so people don't accuse you of treason. I had...
