Amen brother blkqi. In spite of OSHA, butt covering companies, the lawyers in the room, and the self-righteous protectors of us all, I'd bet that a majority of private individual tractor owners have chain hooks either welded on or bolted on to their buckets. Why? Because it is extremely useful and any fool doing more with their tractor than mowing grass knows it.
Works best if the gears are nice and greasy.
Trust me. No such thing as a good idea. Just some things tht actually turned out well, in the end.
I put hooks on my loader bucket a quarter of a century ago. And I guess, that idea was had long before I was born.
