I’m sure you’ve got glow plugs, but yours is probably controlled by a temperature sensor which will determine how there used.

What color smoke are you seeing, should be black if the engine is getting enough diesel. Depending on your temperature you shouldn’t need the plugs to start, yes they will help but just give the engine extra throttle and you should be able to start it.

You might try running a separate ground wire and bypass the original one, since it's affecting different gauges. My tractor has those gauges connected to the same ground point, so it sounds like it could be a wire or connector with corrosion causing high a resistance.

Didn't get an answer, are you loosing them on both sides or just one??? You might mark each tire with a paint pen and see if driven a given distance that the marks alignment are the same. Or just raise the front and rotate the tires.

The engine doesn't always need the plugs to fire, they help heat the combustion chamber only, but it does need compress and cranking speed to generate the needed heat to ignite the diesel.

My tractors 2815 HST and the transmission all share the same fluid, you should check the level at the HST dip stick. So to your question yes one fill. Won't hurt to change your front axle fluid also, gear lube per manual, assuming that you live in a warm area.

Have you tried it with engine off and engaged, did it rotate freely In both directions or only one with resistance?

Have you checked to see if there's a relay in the glow controller circuit? If there is try checking it and the wiring from the glow controller, fuse box.

Didn't ask before, does the tractor start, you don't need them to start. On my 2815 the circuit covers the glow controller, fuel pump, alternator and couple other items is protected by the same 10 amp fuse.

If the fused are good then you probably also have a relay in the circuit, you might check it to see if it gets energized. Do you hear any ticking sound?

There's usually only a couple of reasons for white smoke and you've ruled out the most likely causes. The last thing maybe has to do with your fuel injection system, maybe an injector or timing. Hopefully a mechanic can figure it out for you. Be sure and keep us updated on fix.
