    Everlast 210STL Users Out There?

UGH… 20% THD with our generator. I obviously overlooked that. If tech ever gets back to me, I’ll have to see what it will take to get it fixed.

    Everlast 210STL Users Out There?

I’ll have to go pull it out to check the model. Assuming it’s not a X series, what kind of damage are we talking about? I saw nothing burnt on the board.

    Everlast 210STL Users Out There?

Thanks for the info, Eric! I will ensure those connections are blown out, and I will try to get my hands on some of that DeoxIt. Hopefully both of those will resolve it.

    Everlast 210STL Users Out There?

Off hand, the only thing I know about the generator is that it is a Generac. When I use a generator, I always ensure that nothing is connected to it on start-up and shutdown.

    Everlast 210STL Users Out There?

Hey Mark, Thanks for the reply. I did open it up, but I did not disconnect the harnesses to blow out the sockets. The unit has been used on both generator and line power. I have been sure to always ensure the generator was running before connecting the welder to it. It has been stored in a...

    Everlast 210STL Users Out There?

Hey Folks! Let me start by saying that I have already e-mailed tech support on this, but I was curious if I’m the Lone Ranger with this problem. I have a 210STL that I bought a couple of years ago, and when I first bought it, it was bullet proof. I don’t even know how many consecutive days I...

Tractor Supply for C25 or Argon Gas?

That’s good to know, but where do I get them filled? Filling, rather than swapping is a multi-day event at a welding supply house. And no place will swap a bottle that didn’t come from them.

    Cyclone 200ES reviews?

@ArlyA. Have you used your Cyclone 200ES yet? I noticed that you planned to use yours for flux-core welding. How has that worked out for you?

Tractor Supply for C25 or Argon Gas?

Good Morning Everyone! I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Tractor Supply’s shielding gases for their welder(s). I have been renting bottles for a few years (1 I have no choice but to rent), but I am looking to move to smaller, owned bottles. Since I know no one will swap another...

Has anyone fabricated a hydraulic filter guard on a 2555?

Good morning! I have a 2555 which I have owned for at least 4 years. This past weekend, I was cutting a pasture when a piece of pine kicked up and hit my hydraulic filter. This caused the hose Union on the main hydraulic line to tear, the hydraulic filter housing bracket to twist, and me to...

3-Point Hitch Using Box blade With No Draft/Float Control

Thanks for all of the replies, everyone!! This was a very informative thread. I think I know what I need to do for now, thanks to you all, and in the long run, I need to add a hydraulic top link to my tractor! :-)

3-Point Hitch  Using Box blade With No Draft/Float Control

Hey Folks, I recent did some culvert repair and extension. I want to level the area with dirt and then gravel it. I have a Mahindra 2555 with with no draft control on the 3-point, and 6’ box blade. The ground is not even, so do you have any recommendations on how to use the box blade to...

    Culvert repair/extension: Concrete to HDPE

CADplans, If your pics ever finish downloading, I’ll take a look at them. LOL. Leaves will be an issue once I get this cleared and repaired, but right now there is so much clay packed in there that it is basically cement. Nothing is getting through.

    Culvert repair/extension: Concrete to HDPE

Oddly enough, the state has a culvert/ditch repair request system. As you might imagine, being a government entity, nothing ever came of the request that I submitted.

    Culvert repair/extension: Concrete to HDPE

To answer some of the questions asked… We are talking about a 15” culvert… packed FULL of mud. I m looking to extend the culvert on the downstream side of the driveway. The culvert rarely has heavy flow. It is just for run off drainage… not any kind of steady stream. The existing culvert...

    Ballast 2555 ballast box/counter weight

Hey LD1, I am out in the country of south, central NC. Thanks for all of the info. My box blade is a standard duty, 6’. I don’t know how heavy it is, but I’ll give it a shot.

    Culvert repair/extension: Concrete to HDPE

Good Morning Folks, I have a culvert that was installed (I assume) when the home was built, in 1991. In attempting to prep for extending the culvert to widen the driveway a bit, I found the existing culvert was… suboptimal. For starters, it had been completely covered with dirt, leaves, etc...

    Ballast 2555 ballast box/counter weight

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I will try my box blade… that may be enough. Otherwise, I kind of like the drum of concrete idea. That should get the job done! I guess I was over-engineering again. Lol

    Ballast  2555 ballast box/counter weight

Good Evening, I have a 2555, and I have to move a lot of gravel soon. I am looking for any advice around building a ballast box (dimensions), and what kind of weight to use. I have looked for a suggested counterweight value, but I have not found one. The tractor has a Cat 1, 3 pt hitch. I was...

    2555 PTO clicking…

S219, Finding the diagram(s) has been a challenge. My father-in-law and I have searched and searched looking for an exploded view of the transmission and PTO, but we haven’t been able to find anything yet. I’m kind of surprised that “the world’s #1 selling tractor” doesn’t have more info like...

    2555 PTO clicking…

So… went to load the tractor on a rollback today to have it hauled to a shop, and somehow… the clicking is gone!! Checked the PTO the same way I did the last time (turning the shaft by hand), but now the clicking is gone. Does anyone with more knowledge than me (which would be most people)...

    2555 PTO clicking…

Hey Duffer, The click is very audible, and you can feel the click when you’re turning it by hand. Yes, we disconnected the brush hog after hearing the noise, and then we discovered the source of the click. The tractor is still under warranty, but my local shop closed down. Looks like...

    2555 PTO clicking…

When I say “manually turn the PTO”, I am referring to the spline shaft out of the back of the machine. We disconnected the brush hog to ensure it wasn’t part of the problem. I have a little video of it, but so far, I haven’t been able to upload it.

    2555 PTO clicking…

Hey Folks! Has anyone run into this issue before? We were brush hogging the pasture, and all of a sudden we started hearing a strange noise. After shutting everything down, and starting to troubleshoot, we found that if we manually turn the PTO, we hear a distinct CLICK about every 90 degrees...

    Anvil “repair” issue

Exactly! That’s why I just ended up with a block of steel of some kind from the scrapyard. Of course, ever since I got it, I have read conflicting posts, articles, etc. on what to do with it... hardface it, don’t hardface it, weld the top but use e7018, weld the top bus use e12018, etc., etc...

    Anvil “repair” issue

Oosik, You don’t think it’s dangerous? I was reading that the cracked welds would be more likely to chip and fly in all directions. Given that I’ve had physics-defying slag make it passed both a face shield AND safety glasses to make contact with my eyeball, I’d like to avoid a repeat of that...

Thank you to everyone who provided helpful information. I’ll attempt to grind off the hardface. That should only take a dozen or so wheels. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Anvil “repair” issue

Other than the rod used, this was pretty much the process that I started. I never got to the finishing part. I’m not of the correct temp for pre-heating, though. My “anvil” is a solid piece of steel... not wrought or cast anything.

    Anvil “repair” issue

It’s large! A 500 lbs chunk of steel. Yes, I did pre-heat it. I checked the temp with both a temp stick and an IR thermometer. Blue Demon HC 470 I think was the stick. It lays down pretty well, but then cracks. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Anvil “repair” issue

Well... I’m not so much reconditioning as turning a non-anvil into an anvil. I bought the only non-hollow piece of steel at the scrap yard, and I was trying to put a hard face on it for the beating that it will endure. My hard facing, of course has cracked all over the place.

    Anvil “repair” issue

Hello, I was attempting to hardface a make-shift anvil for use at home, because real anvils are so dang expensive. Was putting on the hardfacing rod after pre-heating the block, and I saw what you see in the picture. I was even peening the beads, but it still cracked all over the place. What do...

Kodiak 6' Brush Hog: Gearbox Mount Bent

Good Evening Folks, I have a situation that I am looking for a recommendation to resolve. I was cutting my pasture a while back, and I hit something that did a number on my brush hog. I have some gouges in the underside of the deck, blade bolts are stripped, blade pan bolt holes are worn, and...
