You are correct - I bought one from Hoye in 2004 and finally had to use it today (2023!) - it is an A32 and its still loose at the maximum adjustment. Bought an A31 at Tractor Supply and it's ok but not much future adjustment left as mentioned above.

If there is a next time then I would probably loosen the radiator and lean it back and first remove the fan and the spacers making it much easier to get at the water pump bolts. I would also install the pump without the fan and spacers - that's the only way I would be able to get a torque...
