    sprayer came in, hose kinked

With the bypass valve open, pump flow goes back into the tank. Partially close the bypass valve to create pressure for spraying. The more you close the bypass valve the higher the pressure. The pump will shut off when the pressure reaches the pump's limit. If you close the bypass, the pump will...

    sprayer came in, hose kinked

Reach in the tank and pull the hose down some. I have 25 Gallon Workhorse with 5.3 GPM pump. The suction hose on mine is flattened out some at the bend, but it works fine.

    Using a box blade

I go over my driveway a couple times with the scarifiers down. First pass I shorten the top link so the blade is not grabbing anything. Then a few passes as need with the top link set so the blade moves grave to fill pot holes and dips. Typically leave scarifiers down for this to make sure edges...

    M62 Fit RiteTop'nTilt/Rear Remotes

I use the backhoe swing pump connections for my rear remotes. No permanent piping changes needed. Just use the swing pump quick coupler and the backhoe drain line quick coupler. I don't need the remotes when the backhoe is on.

    Kubota L47 fork capacity

Your loader lifting capacity will be significantly more at 4 feet verses max height. For example, my L39 is rated 2767 lbs at the pins and max height. at 4 foot height it is rated about 3500 lbs. 500 mm forward the pins or edge of the bucket at 4 foot height it is rated about 2860 lbs.

    Landscape rake opinions

(y)on the gauge wheels. I have an 84" Land Pride landscape rake. Difficult to get a level grade without the gauge wheels. I even added brackets to my box blade so I could use the gauge wheels from the rake on it.

    RTV500 coil ohms specs please

When I had an RTV500, remember making a significant improvement in performance by adjusting the throttle/HST linkage. The foot pedal controls both the throttle and the HST. You can adjust the linkage so you get to full throttle sooner in the pedal travel.

Kubota FEL with Self Leveling Valve

I like the hydraulic self level on my L39. It does need periodic adjustment. There are two adjustment screws on the loader valve, one for raising and one for lowering. Not too hard to do other than a bit of hassle to get to the screws. I just eye ball it and don't use any sort of leveling gauge...

    3 point

I am not familiar with your tractor, but most three point lifts have a mechanism to provide position feedback to the valve for controlling lift height. Sometimes it's a small linkage from one of the rockers to a bell crank arm on the side of the case. Sometimes the mechanism is inside the case...

    Sluggish operation of Backhoe

Did you find the problem? The backhoe uses the power beyond from the loader so if loader is ok it will not be the relieve valve. Make sure the two directional valve levers on the back of the tractor are fully pushed in. One lever is for the swing pump and the other connects power beyond to the...

FEL plow vs. rear blade for 1 mile of infrequent chipseal road snow removal

I like using both. The trouble with a quick attach plow is it is difficult to keep it from digging in and pushing up the front of the tractor. Using loader float does not help. I added float to the curl function which helps some but you still can't scrape the drive clean. Mostly I just set the...

Picking up lots of big-ish rocks

I found that transporting rocks with a backhoe and thumb can be difficult unless the rock is small enough that you can curl the buck under the rock to support the rock. The problem with trying to pinch the rock between the thumb and bucket is that you need to keep pressure on it while...

    Repairing Yard..best methods and attachments

See if you can rent a Harley rake. If you cannot find a 3 point Harley rake to rent for your tractor, then rent a skid steer with a power rake. You can repair the yard and have it ready to seed in a day.

    Another backhoe question

I was clearing land as a weekend warrior and was very glad to have my own TLB rather than trying to arrange rentals. You will not regret having a backhoe even after your clearing work is done. With the size tractor you are getting, you may want to consider an 84" land scape rake rather 72"...

L35 - no hydraulic power to backhoe

Check the joy stick linkage. It may not be fully stroking the valves in one direction causing the loss of function. There may be debris restricting linkage movement. The one valve dumps the swing pump to tank. If the valve did not close all the way you would have reduced or no swing function...

Why we need a better three point hitch mounted single stage snow thrower.

I have a 1970s era Wheelhorse D250 tractor with a single stage snowblower that has an auger like the Riest Industries. It will throw a lot of snow, but if the snow is wet it is prone to clogging the chute. You can see the auger gets bent from hitting rocks and branches that got buried in the...

Soft snow plow edges for asphalt

If the gravel is not yet froze, I have to be careful as heavy loads can push the skids into the gravel. When this happens, I lower the loader a little which raises the blade edge and angles the skids to help push them back on top of the gravel. Once the gravel is frozen, I don't have this...

Soft snow plow edges for asphalt

I mounted the valve on the right loader support bracket. Existing hoses from the loader valve go to hard lines on the right loader arm. Soft snow plow edges for asphalt

I have a SSQA plow on my loader and quickly discovered that floating the loader did not prevent the plow from digging into my gravel driveway. Ditching blade on Kub L45 backhoe

That is pretty much correct. Work port reliefs are relief valves on the valve ports that go to the cylinder. They relieve pressure if an external force applied to the cylinder causes the pressure in the cylinder to exceed the work port relief setting. Very common on backhoes.

Ditching blade on Kub L45 backhoe

I like your setup and may try it. I was considering buying a back blade with offset and angle so I could redo some ditch banks but I may try your method instead. My L39 and I suspect the L45 as well, has work port reliefs on the dipper, boom and swing that will protect system components from...

WoodMax SB-60 Rear PTO Snow Blower on Gravel Report

Land Leveler / Land Plane Advice

I have a crushed stone (A23) driveway. There's quite bit of fines in my driveway and it gets pretty hard once it dries out. In the spring before the driveway hardens up, I have used a back blade with scarifers to level out pot holes and dig up weeds. I added gauge wheels to my back blade and...

    PTO Power Loss

There is an electric solenoid that controls the PTO clutch. You should check the wiring to the solenoid for any loose connections. You could also pull the solenoid body and make sure it is clean. There is a service manual on line - not the best, but check it out if you don't have one...

Looking for a self feeding chipper:

I used to have a Wallenstein BX62 self feeding chipper. Ran it on a 45HP tractor. It was a beast. The only thing I did not like was how it would pull in branches so fast you had to be careful to let get go - it could rip your gloves - and you had to get out of the way as you could get whipped by...

What implement best for turf grading with compact tractor?

I had a similar situation several years ago. After trying several half measures to fix it, I went all in. Roundup the grass to kill it all. Rototill high spots. Anyone ever change the knives on a Wallenstein chipper?

I used to have a BX62. I rotated and sharpened knifes a couple of times. Removing the knives is pretty simple as oosik said. Don't forget to rotate or sharpen the anvil - you have four edges on that. I used a worn hacksaw blade as a gage to set the knife/anvil clearance. Check anvil clearance on...

After nearly having one of the hydraulic filters on my L39 punctured by a downed branch in the woods, I decided to make a guard for the filters. I see where others have made full skid plates for their L39s, but I though that was excessive for my needs, plus it would have been a lot more work...
