Hammer blades is what I’d run.

The 60” is 720 lbs. The 48” is 600 lbs. My tractor is rated at 1800 lbs. at the pin, so no worries there.

What I have found is it’s not only how wide the flail is, but also has to do with the blade swing it has. Medium duty has a 13” swing, heavy duty has 14.5”, commercial rough is 15” swing. That is why there is a big hp difference in the 53” medium and the 53” commercial.

I definitely wouldn’t get a “cheap” grapple, one that is rated for a subcompact like a couple of guys did on YouTube with 75hp tractors and then give the grapple a bad review. I would find a grapple made for 40hp and hang in that area.

What size flail mower are you all using? I talked to a betstco salesman and he strongly suggested going with a EFGC125(48”), but my bucket is a 54”, so I wouldn’t be able to mow next to any long obstacles.

I added a hydraulic top link and plumbed it from the block under the seat. The fittings that go into the block are British pipe thread. On The right side of the block there is a 1/4" plug that needs to be install into the block.

Anyone know what the actual part # is for the brake rod boot? I want to see if I can cross reference the part. Because I don't think that boot I worth $40.
