But did any androids mess them up? I post about half the time from my Android phone and have always posted from an Android phone, three or 4 different phones all different brands. I haven't seen one that I remember do those funny characters yet?

found this:
The "remove formatting" doesn't fix this issue (at least not in the enhanced editor, it may in the WSYSIG/Rich Text editor). This is caused by angled quotes (View attachment 351539). They are a problem because TBN uses ASCII and ASCII only has straight quotes while the angled quotes are Unicode

When posting on your phone do not use contractions if you have a phone that makes the apostrophe special characters. Some iPhones mess them up, some don't. We had a thread about this a while back and with several people posting and trying different things on different phones we concluded nothing. My iPhone doesn't mess the characters up.

Here's something to try; Go up to the top of the TBN page after you sign in and click on "My Home.

Go down the list on the left side of the screen to: My Settings/General Settings/Miscellaneous Options. Make sure that the Enhanced Interface option allowing WYSIWYG is selected.

That may not work for everything, but it helps.

That dirt scoop works as long as all you need is do do stuff at ground level.
Furthermore the only people that argue that it is as good as an FEL have never worked with an FEL!
Just try to dump a load from that scoop over into a dump trailer. There is no competition!
Sell the garden tractor and buy the FEL and a mower. Shop and you can find a good deal on mowers on CL.

Garden tractor is never going anywhere unless I get to the point of having to sell it for food. :)

I appreciate and agree with the advice on the loader. It値l just have to wait until fall or next spring.

I a put Few hundred hrs. on this JD. 5103 over 10yrs. It's 5 miles from my house. What is that on the front? I think it's called a FEL. and fancy with a quick connect bucket. I use it on 35acres so that is just not true. I can't use it much anymore except the FEL. work. The owner will only have it that way. Every time I use it I'm asked to take it off. So the hired help doesn't take out the Well Pump, Fence Ect.. The Well pump was real good one!!$ Just to name a few things that we know of. I know all to well what it's capable of and the Little Garden tractor Ym2000 I'm not putting a FEL or even consider having one put on it. The rear scoop just comes in handy the few times I had to use it. Paid for itself just for what I paid for it new easily. 200.00$. It's my mower I FM quite a few acres Weekly with and just don't want it or need it on there. Compared to the front end of the 5103 it's almost comical to even think about. I have better and more things to do than work on a tractor and my **** works always..................

Yes, I know that very scoop. They were real popular about 50 years ago. It is reversible and the next best thing to a real FEL. Nobody uses them much anymore and they are indestructible. With some luck you can find one cheap. My favorite was the one made with the heavy round tubing.
In fact, the problem with that type of 3 pt reversible scoop is that is just good enough that a guy can talk himself into using it instead of getting a FEL someday. And good as that scoop is, the FEL is better. I know it well because I've used both.

If that scoop was yellow, you can pick them up at TSC. Cheaper than a FEL and easier to take off. Just you got to learn how to do it all in reverse gear. :) I see these scoops all the time on Ford NAA, 8N and a 2N tractors. They are VERY HANDY too. Dirt, gravel and wood chips ...

If you put a hydraulic arm on the top mount of the 3pt, the rear scoop becomes very powerful for those heavy loads.

The rear scoop can be used as a carry-all too. It would help with hauling things and fencing.

About 168-lbs of JD weights on the front of a Yanmar would be needed to balance the load.

Here's an image of the JD weight that is robust enough NOT to slide off nor HOP off the front of the tractor. I had an older set of something that had the minimal hook to hang on, those fell off too much. I couldn't cruise along at a good speed without a single bump in the field and loose one or all of them. Thus, the JD types are GREAT. They have never hopped off.

I've place these on the box blade and on the straight blade when snow plowing too. Works sooooooo great!

Paint them black or whatever to match your tractor, or leave it GREEN. :)

Yes, one reason you see the 3pt scoop used on those old Fords is those models too front end heavy, and the front axle and spindle wasn't built to stand up to the demands of a loader & especially power steering.

The other reason is that none of those models had a separate frame to support the mid-point forces of a loader. There were some loaders made to fit, but without a full separate frame they all ended up attached in the front to the front engine casting - which was OK. But in the middle where the loader posts go vertical, there is nothing to attach to except the bell-housing casting. Most of those tractors with loaders eventually broke that casting - if they hadn't broken the cast front axle or spindle assembly first.

So for those fine old Ag tractors the 3pt reversible scoop - sometimes with a hydraulic top link - was the answer. Most of the old ones I can seeing remember were painted red, had a heavy welded on cutting edge on each end of the bucket, and the frame was made of heavy tubing construction.

I bought it to move a few mounds of dirt already in a pile. The one I have is Reversible so It done or handled that with ease in Rev.. Which I graded a little bit with it also. If I have to dig anything or amounts to much I'm thinking of trying to make a Tooth bar or teeth that attach to it. I'm so cautioned on the amount of weight to lift so that's just not a problem for me. I wouldn't listen and pushed it yrs. ago that should have done me in. So for the little light weight things it works great. Plus the YM 2000 is my Tech. my Lawn mower. Just got off it. I mentioned it before about loader options. I know the front of a ford. Still have my My Grandfathers Funk. My 2wd. Ym2000 worse and just not made for it IMO.. 4WD. I can see but the front end of the 2wd just isn't made for it. Compare it to the 2wd. JD. in the Prev. reply your see my opinion. Then try to buy a FEL. Quick connect and its was 1000.00 more than I gave for the whole tractor 10Yrs. ago. :confused2:

$1000 loader is what they cost. I bet they cost more than that today.
