The site makes it clear that some oil brands do NOT meet the specs which are claimed on the label. Major, well known brands tested OK, far as I could see. However, there are quite a few brands which I never heard of which fail to actually meet the specs on the label.

True, the ones I saw at the top were junk, clearly. I never heard of those either. Didn't notice the drop menu with all the additional brands. Thought the ones displayed were the totality. My bad.:ashamed:

No problem, Poking around at the site, I found a list of 24 specific products which qualify as "consumer alert", meaning a serious problem was found.

The sales locations and even some states which are suing the companies are discussed, by bad brand, at the site....however, gotta drill down and poke around to find it, but it's there.

i just buy the 5 qt jugs at walmart for $25 or so. They use to be like $22.50 but have gone up recently. Even if i only need a partial i just go ahead and buy a whole nother jug.

Yeah! Who wants the lower income folks being able to buy products they need at prices they can afford! It is stupid to allow people the means to make their dollar go further.

Walmart is no ones saviour! They manipulate laws to pay the bare minimum, offer no benefit to working there, and sell cheap garbage that does not last! All the reasons they were not welcome in Europe, and are gone!

I will be glad when they all disappear, not hard to do either. Don't shop there, and hope the employees get fed up and try to bring a union in. They closed a store in Quebec because the employees get tired of bring treated like garbage and called a union. That scared Walmart big time, they closed the store.

Only problem is that every time there is a WalMart opening, there are more job applicants than jobs, happened numerous times around here. I don't live in a ritzy area but it isn't destitute either. Labor supply vs labor demand.

Personally, I'm agnostic towards Walmart.

When the owners of a company are the richest people in the world, and yet you hear constantly that the employees are the lowest paid and least respected, you have to take a step back and examine what is really going on. Admittedly there is volume on what they do, but you look at Costco where the employees are well paid, but the prices are well negotiated down.
