Folks, Sorry that I've not been posting about this build but I've been distracted with a minor illness, plus work on other projects. I will show more ASAP.

Hey folks. Thank you for you kind words. I got in to see a PA who immediately put me on amoxicillin. She said that three weeks with a sore throat, was a bad sign. :confused2: I felt better within a few hours of taking my 1st. I have been in the weld shop but I've got darn few photos. This one is the threshold and the side with the tabs welded on will be on the outside of the shed. These tabs is how the ramps attach. They have 5/8th+ holes punched in them for the mounting bolts. Clear as mud?? More photos in the next few days.

I got something done on the ramps today. Ya, hard to believe. Below is two photos of one ramp frame that's near completion. You can see the mounting tabs against the floor. Plus holes in the angles which are for 5/8th locking bars. This building with have two like this since a 10ft wide one, would be to heavy. The last photo is similar design we built some years ago and we are mimicking it but with just one ramp, not two.

These ramps serve two purposes. One is a nice slope to get in and out of the shed on. The other is to cover the doors lock and make it difficult, if not impossible for someone to get a pry bar beneath the door.

Thanks Dragoneggs, It was by silly chance, we came up with this system. History: When the original green storage shed was built some 8 years ago, we had a club president at the time who didn't want it, so she threw up barriers as to why it wouldn't work and one of of these was, "someone will break into it and steal everything!". During all this, I was pondering the jump to get machines into a shed that's floor is 14" high without mounding gravel up to it. Then it struck me that a hinged ramp would do it PLUS it could be locked in the up position and cover the bottom 1/3 of the door from any character who'd like to break in. Hence the movable ramp was designed.

(do note, we've never had something stolen or broke into)

Thanks guys. The ramp frames were largely completed today with just the locking mechanism remaining. Here are some photos of that.

As you see in these shots, this would be outside of the shed if the ramps were up. Or the ground side if the ramps were down. Vinyl decking will be added to the back side of these tomorrow. These are 5/8th rods you see and the shorter or lower one, will go into the right door frame when locked. The higher, longer rod will go into the left ramp when its in the lock position. Most of the time our volunteers are in a shed, they'll just lower one of the ramps. The center hole you see in the angle iron is to lock both rods down.

Any questions?

Is anyone still interested in the baloney?? I've got the door ramps and threshold at the paint shop now, so I'm waiting to get them back. Here is chains I added so as to have something to hold implements onto the walls and not rely on these cheap winches I purchased....

The photos show side-wall and back-wall chains which are attached differently. I'm quite happy with this setup. Any questions or comments?

I like the chains and hooks. Very creative and overbuilt like the rest of the building.
Are those weld-on hooks, welded to flat straps so they can pivot?
