Hey Harley,
Here's a picture, not a particulary good picture, but it shows the plug wires going back through the engine sheet metal with a white wire on the 1872.
From the front of the tractor this is up on the far left by the firewall.
That's a good point from OM about the magnets and another ground elsewhere.
The three I replaced were just bad modules though.
