18" BX25 Backhoe bucket

I destroyed my 10 bucket on my 23 I had to totally rebuild it here it's so rocky here I've found a small bucket digs better I get a rock or root in every bite

Ya I know Paul I've bin watching his videos for a couple of years. He didn't like it when someone copied his quick coupler as I seen all the drama from the posts on this site about it. It only took me around 5 minutes to change my buckets. Take out the single bolt for each pin an the pins pull out an put the other bucket on. I asked Paul why he took most of the pictures down on this site an he said that something was going on with his photo bucket account.

Ya we have some rocky soil around that's why I went with the 100,000 yield steel for the sides/ scrapers an the Hardox for the main cutting edge. I'm going to build a 8" bucket out of the same steel in the spring. I'd rather over build it then have to repair it all the time.

I realized quick how important it is to inspect your bucket daily.one stress crack one minute and your tearing it open like a beer tab the next

Can you provide a little more info on using your bucket to muck out ponds....I have a 16" bucket and also find the crud just sticks. A lot of blue clay in the swamp....

I have the same problem. We were digging in clay with my 12" bucket an tried smearing grease inside the bucket an it helped for about 3 scoops till it started wearing off. There is not much you can do I guess.

Yeah, but its fun playing around with it....really fun. In dirt, its a BLAST! I planted over a hundred trees, dug out stumps, pulled old fence posts, trenched a drainage ditch, and moved big rocks. That was just the first year!

Google 'clay bucket' for your really wet work. Basically a bucket with no sides, well just enough to give some rigidity to the back. Only good for soft, mushy work and no rocks as they lack the strength of a regular bucket but just the ticket for the pond work. Not having sides reduces the suction.

That's also the reason that your standard bucket has tapered sides to it -- to help keep material from jamming in the back
