It sold already. I found 2 more, one with only 35k miles, I will inquire about. It looks like I better move quick, these trucks do not stick around long.

Purchased my 96 F150 XL new Oct. 95 300-6 cyd. 5 spd. Manual trans. I still have and use it daily, it has had just normal wear and tear items over the years. I think from time to time about selling it and getting a new truck but it's paid for itself many times over. The rear gear is a little week for pulling heavy loads but mine has never failed me. I've had the bed loaded with cement roofing tiles weighing about 2800 lbs and pulled small camper and utility trailer, just a real work horse. I have taken good care of it since I purchased it and at times think about taken it in to a body shop and having the few dings pulled and a new paint job as a new truck still would cost me more. I believe Ford stopped making the 300-6 because you can't kill them if you change the oil regularly. Ford use to make trucks to last and to work, I wonder if a new truck could do what has been asked of ole brownie over the last 19 years, heck or even if a truck today would last that long. I guess you could say I'm partial to my F150.
The ones I am looking at are identical to that one. I enjoy simple trucks, less stuff to break and easier to work on and maintain. They do not seem to nickle and dime you to death.

Exactly, plain simple truck no power anything. I was looking after my last post to see if I could find a low mileage 95-96 to buy. Mine has just under 200000 still looks good as you can see that pic is about a month old. I would have no problem buying another today with low mileage.

The auto trans in the years mentioned are junk in my mind. I had a few friends that had the mid 90s models and had many trannie issues.

I am partial to manuals. My 2003 F150, which I should have kept, had one.

My 77,86 fords 92 gmc had autos by 95 I had learned manual was the way to go. It was a pain in a way as I lived in SoFlo then and the traffic with a manual was terrible. Now I'm retired and handicapped and think I want an auto but the cheap side of being paid off keeps me shifting gears. My truck has survived two wife's and 11 children total, the both of us are lucky and well built, lol.

I had an 81 f-150 with the 300 and 3 spd manual w/OD.
I had that truck for 5 years and 145000 miles. Sold it to
my brother who drove it another 25k before trading it in.

It was a great truck, one of the best I have owned over the past 40 years.

My brother and I still have my Dad's old 1992 F150 with the 300 I6 and auto. Still gets used some but is parked most of the time unless one of the non-truck owners in the family needs to borrow it. I think it only has about 80k miles on it.

My first truck was a 92 F150 with a 300 and stick. I inherited it from my dad when I got my permit. Wish I never got rid of it.

I can't remember of anything bad about the motor. The trans was a Mazda and I remember the owners manual saying the tow rating was like 2800lbs. It had 2:73 gears.

My neighbor drove one, a 94 up to a few years ago when he got his license taken away (dementia). It has 218000. It may still run. But has been sitting.
