$2.39 Gas

Went to the Columbus (OH) Zoo today and saw diesel for $2.83 but the cheapest gas was $2.35. Still $2.21 here in Cambridge. BTW, milk is holding steady @ $1.99

The lowest gasoline I've seen around here today is $2.26.

Prices haven't changed in NY since 8-29. Gas still averaging 2.89 - 2.95 and 3.14 - 3.15 for Diesel. State is gulping the extra .50 from us and won't give it up.

Prices have fallen pretty quickly here over the last couple of weeks. Gas is now 2.61, 2.71 and 2.81. Diesel fell from 2.95 to 2.89. I think diesel will drop the next time the station fills up. The gas earlier in the week was 2.69, 2.79, and 2.89.

I do like the trend.

Is diesel more expensive to refine than gasoline?

I live in Houston, no need for winter gas. $2.33 the cheapest I've seen here.

Gasoline was down to $2.16 yeaterday but the diesel is still hovering around $2.87. I don't know about the refining process of gas vs diesel but I know diesel has alot more energy in it than gasoline. Probably why they are getting the extra $$$ ?
Currently 77 degrees with a few puffers in the sky. Gonna get the landscape rake out and work on the driveway a bit.

I paid $2.399 for gas at Walmart this morning. It was exactly 6 months ago today the last time I found any gas that cheap. However, I also notice that their price on diesel was $2.899. I expect to see diesel 20 or 30 cents a gallon more than gas, but think this may be the first time I've seen it 50 cents more than gas.

That is a considerable spread. In Maryland we typically pay less for diesel than gas in the spring and summer and more than gas in fall an winter. Guess it's like that everywhere?? I think about 30 or 35 cents is the largest spread I've ever seen here. But we do typically pay more than the Costal Gulf states (proximity and geographic costs I presume), except perhaps at Hurricane disaster time. Then they rake you guys but good.

We are just cracking the high $2.60 range for regular here. and Diesel is about 2.90 now. I actually was looking at the low $2.70 range last week and thinking "Boy that's cheap". The oil companies now have me fully indoctrinated into the $3.00 mindset. Sad reality.

Paid $2.16 at BP in Rootstown Ohio this evening. Circle K went from $2.17 to $2.15 by the time I left BP. These two, along with the Speadway station at I-76 and route 44 that have been taking turning lowering their prices for the past few days.

Funny, because gasoline is $2.34 at BP one exit to the west, and $2.49 a gallon three exits east out by my house. If there is only supposedly 10 cents or less profit per gallon, how much profit are the gas stations down the street making at $2.49 per gallon versus $2.15 a gallon 15 miles away?

I wonder where it's going to bottom out? I fueled up at Murphy's at Wally World and gas was $2.17 and diesel was down to $2.74. If you go and get your pre-paid Wally card you can take .03 off of those prices. I wonder if the demand has slacked off that much to get prices down or if there are other forces at work?
