Diesel dropped to $2.429. Christiansburg, VA, BP station right off I-81.
Glad to see your diesel coming down before the winter heating oil demand sends it back up. Doesn't make any sense, first cold snap any then the "shortage" rumor gets planted and you just naturally "assume the position".

I actually saw one place on my way home from work Friday night at $1.969 - didn't think I would ever see gas with a one in front again. I see the "Community Market" down the road a couple of miles from the house is $2.489 for diesel. Go the other direction a couple of miles and the Sunoco has diesel for $2.879. One which direction I'll be going tomorrow when I'm ready to start mowing the grass?:p

$2.04/9 for gas, $2.51/9 on-road diesel, and $2.33/9 off-road diesel this morning.

Local home heating oil vendor/gas station owner told me yesterday to expect $1.75 gas by Thanksgiving. That would be a good reason to give thanks. :)

I went by the filling station I get fuel from today which has been the first time in six days.

Gas was 2.43/2.53/2.63. Diesel was 2.75 or 2.79. Last fill up was 2.95 so its twenty cents cheaper. I get 32 gallons of fuel so that I save $6.40 or two breakfasts. :D

Ditto Skypup, a VERY helpful tip indeed. These danged plumeting gas prices are killing my retirement portfolio

Boy that's cheap. For those without calculators:

2.04/9 = 0.24
2.51/9 = 0.28
2.33/9 = 0.26

Apparently most of those WITH calculators and all without are smart enough to UNDERSTAND??????

I understand the "G Boy" likes the price written out in the correct way. He seems to become very confused unless this format is followed. In an effort to help him follow along, will EVERYONE please post their fuel prices the way he likes it posted. 2.099 would be 2.09/9 or 2.09 & 9/10ths. :)

I was just sitting here watching the morning news and they claim gas will be less than 2 bucks a gallon by Christmas. Is anyone going to hold their breath?

Our slide stopped. For awhile it was almost a free-fall. Even saw one place for $1.969, but yesterday afternoon everywhere went back to $2.249. Hopefully it'll start going back down.
