I'm just trying to be realistic about the mileage. I guess it also depends on how heavy the truck is and what gear ratio it has. Most GM and Dodge drivers claim higher mileage versus the Ford.
I run the 2005 7.3 F250 SuperDuty, SuperCab.

You are lucky and have a one-of-a-kind truck that should be very valuable!

I'm with Phil, last I checked the 7.3l Powerstroke was replaced in 2003 with the 6.0l...![]()
A good friend of mine has a 2003 F-350 and it has the 6.0l.

As a final report....I ended up buying a wimpy little F150 with the underpowered V6. I'll probably dream about the diesel for a while, but this little truck still has 24K of warranty on it, so I won't be dropping multiples of the national debt on it for a while.
There sure are some pretty decent vehicles that go to the auctions. The potential costs scared me off, but I bet that 2006 with 118K could have been had for 8K as it sat, and it most likely needed less than 1K work at the most to get it straight. The salesman didn't tell me that price outright, but we were in the 9K range when I chickened out, and he did say they would take what they thought they'd get at the auction to save having to transport it there.

I'm not sure what Dodge's version is. I looked up Dodge one time in the dictionary and it said "avoid" so I've been doing that ever since!Sorry, I'm sure I'll get beat up over that one!

The Dodge version is the ST as opposed to the SLT. If you needed to look up Dodge in a dictionary then I can see why you drive a Ford.![]()
Ok. Let's see that's Dodge owner number one to Dmace.I'm sure you're just the first.
Thanks for the gigging!

Anyway, glad it all worked out and good luck with the new truck.
