I'm right there with you Scotty. Today I picked up ten sticks of half inch electrical conduit, a small bag of peat moss and a potted blueberry. At least the conduit was 10 feet long and would have been a problem getting in the Impala!

I do think I'll be less likely to haul 1800 pound loads in this truck than in the old '91. It's still pretty!

How about some pics of the new truck! Maybe some of it "loaded down" like Scott did! Chuck, I think you made the right choice. If you don't have the need for a diesel burner then it's hard to justify.

Jayste,

It's a very plain white 2006 F150. About the only thing remarkable about it is how plain it is! I bet if you wanted to get a new one like this you'd have to special order it. I mean, I didn't know you could still get much of any kind of vehicle these days with no power windows or locks. I had to think a while before I could figure out how to make the window go down!

I hear you pardner. I've got a 1 ton Ford that is an XL package that has power steering and brakes, automatic, bench seats, manual windows and locks, vinyl floor and AM/FM radio. I think GM's version of this is a WT model. I'm not sure what Dodge's version is. I looked up Dodge one time in the dictionary and it said "avoid" so I've been doing that ever since!:D Sorry, I'm sure I'll get beat up over that one!
Anyway, glad it all worked out and good luck with the new truck.

The Dodge version is the ST as opposed to the SLT. If you needed to look up Dodge in a dictionary then I can see why you drive a Ford. ;)

Ok. Let's see that's Dodge owner number one to Dmace. I'm sure you're just the first. Thanks for the gigging!:D

It's all in good fun, I'm glad you see it as a humorous jab and not ridicule. :D

Dmace, humorous jab is my middle name!:D I thought your come-back was quite witty! Thanks for playing along.:)

Scott Vt, I hear you. My old '99 F250 has 245,000  on her and she's still burning the coal.
