Time will tell, we've had too much rain until now but we could use more now that we have the first cutting in. We try to bale the first cutting on Memorial day weekend and be done by the 4th of July, this year we didn't bale the first field till the 4th of July.Good job! Are you getting enough moisture up there to get another cutting, this season? I have a friend west of Syracuse that always stocks up on hay, even with extra pastures for just a few head of horses.

Glad to hear that your hay came in well. We had some knotter issues (not wiping the knot off of the billhook or not tying on both ends of the string), but I think they were caused by a broken spring and a lack of grease in the knotter assy (see NH 273 baler misties one side of some bales for pictures).I'm finishing up first cutting tomorrow. Have about 100-150 bales left to do. Barn is full (around 1400 in the loft) so my customers are happy. I have three wagons full and one empty to fill the last of it tomorrow. Everything on the wagons is going to customers but I am glad to be almost done. This last week has wore me down here with the heat. So far I've done around 4500 of first cutting and unless I have someone come up asking for more I am just going to cut the rest of the fields and let them mulch back into the ground. Getting too late in the year. I did get one field done in June and it has a nice second crop coming up already. Hope to be cutting it in a couple weeks. Glad you were able to get yours done and hopefully without any trouble.
