This is the dash in the Lariat which is slightly different from the XLT.

Found it! It says 34 something. Slower than I'd have expected.

I was wondering how the dash computer knows as well. We've got 3800 miles on ours and about the leave on a long trip. So I asked to have it changed so as to not mess with it while on da road.

It's a programmed algorithm that takes into account many factors, including miles, time, temperature, run duration, speed, torque loads, etc..

It's the most accurate way to assess oil change intervals to maintain warranty & avoid premature oil changes (wasting money & resources).

In my F150 (2.7EB), under "normal" conditions, it usually trips at 8-10K miles.

You might need to reset it at the same time you track your mileage.

I found the "time to next oil change" display mode which shows 65% at 4000 miles.

We have liked this silly truck more and more since we got it this summer. We'll be in it heading to my folks in central SD which will be 1500 mile trip on Tuesday.

Enjoy it while you can. The way that things are going in this PC country I'm sure that it's only a matter of time before Thanksgiving and Christmas are run out of town.
