22LR on the shelf at Local WallyWorld

Every time I go to W/M for anything I always walk past the ammo area to see if any 22's made it to the shelf area. Well today for the first time in years they had some Winchester 22LR 100 count boxes for sale. No big deal but I was happy to see it.

What was the price? Just curious if its gone up.

I think this whole shortage thing is embarrassing. I can't believe I live in a society that hordes 22 ammo.........

Our WalMart is very hit or miss on 22LR. The other day they had about six boxes of Winchester M-22 (1000 rds, $54.95), about ten boxes of Federal AMT (325 rds, $19.95) and some CCI 22 CB caps. 22 WMR has been very scarce, but they've got at least three brands of .380 on the shelf and that's been available for quite awhile now.

Most days, it's not worth even walking by the counter if it's past 10AM, the scalpers will have it all. The store started a 1 box minimum for bulk box and 3 box minimum for 50/100 round boxes, but the scalpers just brought more friends in with them. You can see them every morning at McDonalds, eating breakfast and sitting around drinking coffee until 8AM, then they head to WalMart and stand in line, pretty much the same guys every day.

I went to a LGS today, he had a bunch of CCI Mini Mags on a shelf, $10.00 per hundred pack... (tax included)

I didn't see even one box sell while I was there, and I know the owner personally so I was there quite a while BS'ing with him.

Seems to be shortage here our Walmart and the three in Roanoke Va as well as sporting goods never have any. Occasionally my local gun shop gets 50rd. CCI rounds at .09 cents around, just seems criminal to me. I set up notification with several online dealers for rounds no more than .07 cents a round I get the most notifications for Cabelas which lets you order one 333 round or 500 round box a day. So I stocked up earlier in the year as I like to hunt squirrels and plink some. My .02 cents
