I want to use my loader w/out taking all the snowblower drive train off, I disconnected the snow blower just behind the raise/lower cylinder leaving the bracket for the mid mount drive train in place. Tried to put on loader and one side would not lock. Think the loader stand is hitting the bottom of the bracket that holds the front of the mid mount shaft. Any one else tried this? Do I have to remove the whole snowblower assembly? Wondering if I can modify the bracket and cut 1/2" of steel off it to get that little bit of room needed.
Thought? Thanks

I have heard of people bending the parking stands trying to mount the loader while the QH was in place....

Yep, the parking stand is in the way, but I cannot see why some modification could not be made to make it fit. Have not seen it on this forum yet.:)

Henri88 how have you been, not seen you on the site lately. Hope all is well. Would be nice if one could swap between blower and bucket w/out taking everything apart.

Very well, thanks for asking. Been very busy all summer right up till November but have more time now to spend on this great forum. Now back to the main question, I never had the need to swap from my blower to the fel, but than again, if there was a fix that would able us to do so, I would jump on it right away, unless it is a major project. I don't have the time during the summer to look into it, but maybe someone eventually will decide to make the move and share it with us.:licking: Henri

seems to me that about /2 inch or so needs to be trimed off the bottom of that bracket to allow for the stand to fit. (do not think removal would bother the strenth of the bracket) I will have to look at it again. It is not something I could do, fairly heavy steel. would need a machine shop, or someone with a good torch. I would like to drop the blower and do some clean up and snowbank removal around the place.

fdmars,

Did you ever cut the bracket? How did it go?

No never did cut it. Stopped snowing. Put on the bucket and never looked back. Of course now that it is off and spring time. Would be a good time to take to a machine shop. Did you think the same as me as far as the line up and if my mod would work?

I think so - I'll try to get some pictures of what I think needs cutting and see if you agree. With patience it could just be ground off.

OT - what do you think of the Powerhorse splitter on the 2305?

Thanks. Would like to see pics. I will have to remount blower and look at it again. I really like the splitter. Keeping the following in mind. Is slow but cuts both ways so is all I can keep up with. The smaller one (the one I have) only cuts 18 inch logs so hope they are the size you need. I did add a power beyond kit to the tractor for the splitter. Have cut thru some large oak rounds w/ no issues. Not sure how well the bigger splitter would work. Think it would but be even slower. I cut about 1 cord so far so I am not using it for large production runs. To sum up very happy with the unit
