I swiped from my dad his old Mighty Mac Chipper/Shredder that was rotting away in his barn unused, since he traded his JD 790 in on the TN60 we have now. He's since purchased a Wallenstein BX62S that he can run properly on 60+ hp machines.
I figured, my 2305 would be fantastic to run it - and I was right. A little adjustment of the belts, greased it up - thing eats sticks now.
However, the issue I ran into, is I forgot my 2305 was a live PTO, not an independent. My current work around is a cinder block and a log on the seat - or, the use of my G/F if she is around. (Although the log and the cinder block don't complain about dust and wood chips flying about...)
I was wondering if there is anyway to disconnect, or other wise make the PTO on the 2305 independent, that anyone knows of? Being a 2008 I'm not too worried about warranty. As well, I'm the only one that uses the tractor besides my girl friend occasionally mowing the grass when I don't have time, or moving plants or firewood around with the bucket. So safety isn't a big deal - she grew up with an old Farmall Cub. I've been farming my entire life.
